Hi Mark,

As this is all new to us we're not sure at the moment what way this will go. We both have written our scripts, jokes and patter out and I've had the act recorded a few times and it's being edited down so we could put this all onto the DVD and sell it as a package or it may only supplement the day.
It may just be an aid to the day rather than a stand alone dvd and script, we probably need to do the day and get feedback before we make a decision.
We are both really looking forward to this and feel we both have a lot to share and are at a stage that we would like to help others on there great journey in entertaining.

Hi Mark,

I'm going along, so I'll let you know if its worth getting the notes or not! ;)

I'm very much looking forward to it, should be enlightening.

Everything is ready for Wednesday, we have 10 booked in and I'm really looking forward to it.
Going to print all the scripts out tonight and Geoff finished editing the DVD for me this week,
if anyone wants to book last minute we do have a couple of places left.

Mike and Thelma came down yesterday to do the final get ready, we have had a good laugh and great fun remembering everything and then my printer packed up yesterday so it was panic stations to go and get a new one and set it up so that we can print out all the notes.
But all's well and it's been a really interesting project that we have both thoroughly enjoyed putting together, now fingers crossed evrything runs fairly smoothly today.

Just got home from a wonderful day. Thank you so much Micky and Graham. All your hard work and preparation was worth it. I learnt loads of useful stuff.

I heartily recommend that anyone who is serious about childrens entertainment attend the next workshop. You will be enriched and your show, games, marketing and more will be limitlessly enhanced.

I think that of all the workshops I have attended over the years, this one has been the best. I joke not. The workshop is the first Graham and Mike have laid on, sharing everything from their shows and giving the benefit of years of expansive experience. Also a comprehensive set of notes was provided for each attendee which included show scripts, party game ideas, tips on the business side, equipment supplies and suppliers, reading matter etc etc. basically everything one could wish to know was there. I have been running parties for quite a few years now and feel I offer a good two hours of entertaiment but having attended this workshop today I feel very excited at the prospect that I can now raise the quality of the entertaiment to another level and also increase the laughs per minute during the show. I do not intend to copy the shows Graham and Mike shared with us. That would be a foolish thing to try because I am not Tall Graham or Mad Mike. I am little me with my own style. But I have come away with such a wealth of information AND I won't have the usual problem of forgetting all those things I was sure I would remember because the notes were so thorough and encompass so much. They must have been a major task in themselves.
Being the first workshop this was sort, it was also a learning experience for Graham and Mike. The way the dvd was presented to us together with the performance and the discussions needed a few tweeks and Mike needs a head (you had to see the dvd to get that joke) I am sure that they both learned something themselves during this workshop and the next one they perform will be more finely tuned and even better than this one.

A huge thank you to both of you for a really fulfilling and useful day.

Just an extra note here. Graham was not comfortable with me putting a review on here because he was worried it might look like a friend just saying good things for a friend. He told me not to do a review for that reason. But I got so much out of the day I have ignored his request. Ok we get on like a house on fire but I would not let that induce me to make an insincere statement. Just thought I would get that one aired. Sorry Graham but I just had to say how much I got from yours and Mike's great workshop.

Hi Y' All
Big THANK YOU to all who attended the childrens seminar yesterday, glad you all got so much from it.

This was a first for Graham and I, so we are aware that areas of the seminar need tweaking, which will be done for the next one. To those who attended, your feedback will be taken on board, and will go to improve future seminars, so many thanks for that. In terms of material, we couldnt have given more. It was a lifetime of routines, bits of business, games, marketing skills and knowledge that can only be gained from years of experience : as promised, everything needed to start up as a childrens entertainer, without the trial and error.

It was good to work with such a giving group, everyone contributing ideas and experiences of their own, and useful to find out other peoples skills for future reference.

Once again, many thanks to all, I will get a head for the next one, and next time Thelma, I'll bring my slippers.

Micky the Magician
