Gosh, It is ages since I posted in here!
I have been redesigning and updating my website for what seems months so I have not been very active in forums. (Also most of December I had a nasty chest infection and on Xmas Eve I went down with Swine Flu which wiped me out for the best part of 3 weeks! :o ) The website has been a long slog but I have enjoyed it. (I must be a sadist!) I use a programme called Serif Webplus and I have been pleased with the results. You can get a nice looking site done fairly quickly but then there are all sorts of tweaks for search engine indexing etc. It was this that I found took so much time as I did not know what I was doing. :o I did a lot of research and learnt as I went. I don't suppose for a minute it is as good as a professional Web designer but I have the satisfaction of saying "I did it myself".
I want to include more photos and enlarge the gallery ASAP but I have so many photos stored on my PC, I need to have a really good sort out to find what I want and then edit them. I am particularly pleased with the gallery which I made with Jalbum.net and then embedded it in my site.http://www.twistina.co.uk/gallery.html There are some really cool album designs on jalbum and it is free to use for with up to 30mb (about 200 web size photos) http://jalbum.net/

Please take a look at my site and let me know your comments and if you spot any errors!

Looks good, I would recommend more color in the front page plus for me the bottom picture didn't load is it just me or does the picture need resizing.
I think the information is great it says everything that's needed maybe a bigger font for the list plus balloon dogs if possible at the start of each one?

I think your font for Twistina needs to be changed, it looks very jerky? is that a word, the edging is not crisp.
It would look nicer in a smoother text IMHO

Dave, I am with you, I need to put some more photos to add colour to the home page. This is on my "To do" list I will bear in mind what you say about size of text too. Do you mean the balloon dogs to be like bullet markers at the start of each paragraph? The photo not showing at the bottom of the page (A teddy with flowers) What browser are you using? Anyone else getting this problem?
I have a more urgent problem on the gallery page where part of the nav bar gets hidden behind the gallery. As soon as I get that fixed will address the home page.

Thanks for pointing that out Graham. I have hopefully sorted this now, please take a look. The text has to be converted to a graphic as it is not a websafe font. I have adjusted the settings, so it provided I did it right, it should look smooth now.

yes looks fine now, its a bit annoying that the banana album banner pops up all the time but that may be just because I've looked at the site a couple of times.

Is this on the Home page or the Gallery page? Home page has a teddy, gallery has youtube video.
Are you using Internet Explorer or firefox or another browser? I don't seem to be able to replicate the problem.

The banana album may have to be changed for something else as it is this that is causing the problem with hidding the Nav bar. I have temporarily changed the nav bar but the same is now happening to the share and bookmark menu.

That's really wierd, it should be on the gallery page.
