 Careful, if you choose to go to the millenium!
Many villas are robbed (one by week at least... You can ask the police from MOL to know that I tell you the truth!
SUNPARKS WILL NOT COMPENSATE.
You will get only your eyes for crying...
Conwin team was robbed, too, at Millenium 2008....

Hot of the press, well hot off the phone with Leo and the price for the millennium jam is confirmed at 99 Euro's.
We will also be doing the organised trip which will include registration, acommodation and travel on Eurostar from St Pancras.
As soon as we get the confirmed all in one price I'll let you know ASAP.

I will need to know confirmed numbers etc by Aug 8th as we need to book 3 months early to get the best price on eurostar.

As you know already for 7 months now that the burglars have been caught in December 2008.
The stolen stuff is returned to the rightful owners (I know because I brought the stuff from Sue and John back to them)
Funny that you don't mention this in your post.
Offcourse what has happened is awful and Sunparks did not react in a good way (to say the least), but also mention the rest of the story when you tell it.
I know Leo and both Ingrid and I did everything we could at TMJ 2008 to prevent burglaries and helped were possible

Yes, please don't be put off about coming to The Millennium Jam due to this, unfortunately things like this do go on in life and we all need to be extra careful.
Are we all not going to attend the best balloon convention in the world due to one robbery, well I'm not.

The official organised trip  from the UK to the worlds greatest balloon convention leaving St Pancras on Monday 9th November and returning on Friday 13th November.
The cost will include, travel, shared room in a bungalow, registration and a taxi to & from Brussels to the venue. Total cost £210.
This breaks down as £60 to me for Eurostar, fingers crossed the price will stay the same. If the price increases then we have to pass this onto you and the remainder is paid to Leo of 175 euros (£150).
I need confirmed numbers by Sunday 9th Aug as I need to book the eurostar on Monday 10th August to get the best prices.

If you require a room on your own the additional cost will be £65

Funny enough I cannot mention that my stuff has been return as it has never been returned so far ! I mean my computer, camera, mobile phone, my bags,... among others, are definitly gone !. The police told and write me that most of the things have been thrown away in the water. The only thing I could have got back was my mobile phone !
I offered the Police to pay for the post cost to send it back to me but they just refused telling me that I should travel there to get it ! This is the rest of the story if you ask me !

You may want to know what did Sunparks do? almost nothing apart from offering me a diner in one of there restaurant for two persons!
I have just been informed that Sue and John were robbed only when I was robbed myself ... 5 days after... That why, I informed that bad discovery in each classroom.

Do you still want to know more about the rest of the story ? Any compensation from Sunparks’ insurance for instance ? NOTHING at all.

A loss of 3 196 euros in a week: that’s the true story !! and the funny thing is, that I paid an additional charge of 100 euros to get a basic villa for 2 persons next to the reception !
Goog luck at Sunparks : they might have hired nigth watchmen but I would not bet !

Hello Rosalie
I was very sorry to hear about your awful experience. The whole situation was awful and I very much understand your motives for these posts. You don't want the same thing to happen to other people. I personally am a walking disaster area. Ask anyone who knows me well and they will knod with resigned agreement. So it won't be of any surprise to know that I too have had some bad experiences along the way. Travelling alone and being targeted by a crime gang on the train network being the worst one. I lost everything including my passport and laptop and money. That was something totally apart from the Millennium Jam. i was on my way there yes but not there yet. It is the same whenever you travel. You an't afford to be naive. Its a good world out there with a few bad people in it. It is good to know the people who perpetrated the burgularies at the jam have been caught. I do have to say this though. If I were going to let my past experineces in life dictate my future actions I would sit at home and never venture out. I love the millennium jam event. It is my favourite event of the year and no way am I going to let some low life stop me from going. Last year was very bad due to the instigator of the burgularies and the attitude of the Sun Parks Resort stank. But if you go anywhere on your travels with valuable property there is always a risk. Ask about any resort and you will hear about this or that incident.

If you want to go but are worried about taking your laptop then simply dont take it. There is a computer there with internet connection that everyone has access to so you can keep tabs on your email with that.

The event is worth going to

so if you are going I will see you there!

Count me in Graham, I don't use paypal can I ring you and pay by card? or send cheque, will try and phone tomorrow.
Is the price depending on number of people?
