It never rains but pours, after working on a big project in Ireland for a week with Colin Myles I'm straight back from Dublin and have been weaving all night for another project for Tuesday with David Crofts, first of the pictures;
Looks like you are doing the cows request?
Pam
xx
It's like a production line here with David, Mickal and myself. Did 5 hours last night and 4 hours today so far, will add pictures later as we progress.
All finished and bagged up ready for a 7 O'clock pick up in the morning, one 10 ft cow and sixteen 3ft cows.
Did you take a photo of the finished herd?
I have loads of pictures but it's been so busy this past ten days that I have just not had any time to re-size and upload them.
Hoping to get a bit of time now things are finally all sorted and slowing down, well I do have a show tomorrow, two on Sat and then we are off Sat night to the Bristol day of Magic for the Sunday and then the Tom Bibo lecture at the care & share day on the Monday.
Here are the pictures from making the sculptures Sunday night and all day Monday although David also spent all day Saturday and Sunday working on the sculptures. We had a 12 hour day on set waiting for the filming but the food was good.
The large 10ft cow was made in seven sections and then all put together;
The whole house was full of cows, we could not moooooove (he he)
The cows were built to clients specification;
David giving Bill some food;
All finished Sunday night and ready for a 7 am pick up his morning;
On set, David made two sets of legs on Sunday as the client wanted the round balloons as they made for a contrast of texture.
Luckily we got them to change over to the more sturdier and in keeping with the sculpture set which helped with keeping Bill the cow upright for filming.
A few more changes happened, all the udder teets went, horns and tuft of hair.
Bill all set and ready to go;
Last few from the day;
They look fabulous Graham! Are you able to say what they were doing with them?
I'm all curious now!!

I think it's best we keep quiet for a while although no one has said it's top secret but as it's David's job mum's the word till they go public with the filming.
Absolutely. Will wait with anticipation :D
they look really cool
Great pictures, really interesting. Just looked through them with my wife. She said after one of the shots of loads of the cows together a mangle of moo's, what a great name for them :D
I had a text last night that the cow advert is out now for McDonalds? I've not seen it yet.
Awesome job Graham! I think that's the best big cow I've ever seen. :D :D
Will it be showing the ad for McDonald's in the US also, or just in the UK? Or do you know?

It's near the end! Such a lot of work for a small glimpse.
It does look fab though, well done!
:lol:
Thanks for posting Daisydoos.
"U" is for Udders... is where the balloon cow is (41 secs)
They showed none of the sixteen 3 ft cows that we made :( Still we got paid!
Fantastic job,they cows look great!!
awesome... hope you will be able to put the vid on youtube so we can get a view of it from this side of the ocean.
Spotted it on Channel 4 this eve about 5.25 during an ad break from 'Come Dine With Me'. Err... it was Mrs D that was watching that show, I just happened to glance at the TV you understand.... ;)
Excellent work, Graham, really well done!

:lol: :lol: Of course it was Neil!
I was watching it myself and saw the ad - great job!
David Crofts built the majority of the large cow, the 16 small 3ft ones that I built never got used although they did spend half a day filming them with the children.
Does the above link not work to view the advert overseas?
No it just says that there has been an error
Would Love to see it if possible!!
Lisa
It plays OK here, very odd, another mystery of life.
Just found it on YouTube, it may work? http://www.youtube.com/user/McDonaldsAt ... a%20to%20z (http://www.youtube.com/user/McDonaldsAtoZ?v=NyzkzKMkt2k&feature=pyv&ad=13253873852&kw=McDonalds%20a%20to%20z)
Aawwww Thanks so much for sharing that!!
Very sweet!!

Excellent video. It's a shame the rest of the farmyard was left on the cutting room floor after all that effort. Are they planning on some more ads along the same theme? You never know the missing footage may appear again.
This just came up on Facebook saying it was 6 years ago, we made the Cow for the advert back in 2011.
From memory it was used in two separate adverts I think. The link above does not work as the advert was taken down.
I have just found this one, the cow is at 40 seconds and is used for U for Udders.
