The forum is now 5 years old, not sure when we should celebrate this as people had started to post before I had even set it up, it was funny really as there I was trying to get things sorted and all of a sudden people were joining and posting. I had no idea and some say I still don't, I thought no one could see the site as we had hit the hide button so that we could launch it properly. I signed up on the 15th March and then Neil found us on the 18th March. As the Balloon artistes guild celebrate on the 1st April we may as well have this as the main date for the forum as well?

So happy birthday balloon chat and thanks to everyone who has posted and looked into view the site, so what is the one piece of wisdom or model have you learnt from the forum.
That one golden nugget.

Maybe everyone could post who views this thread and say so that we have one thread with 50 views and 50 posts, can it be done?
The lurkers would need to join as well though.

Happy Birthday Balloon Chat, April 1st sounds like a good day to celebrate.

As a relatively new member of the forum I am finding and learning all sorts from it, I was pleased to have come along to the Exeter Care & Share day and met a few others from the forum, the reviews are REALLY useful too, being able to reading the write ups and then seeing forum members attempts at the models, it really helps you see if something if right for you to purchase and have a go at.

I'm new to these boards, but heres to another 5 years :-)

I still remember the first time I met you, Graham. It was at Twist & Shout 2009 in California. I had recently discovered Balloonchat, and when I read your name tag I was star struck. It was really you, THE Graham Lee of Balloonchat  :shock: !

There are only a small handful of active and FRIENDLY balloon forums out there, and this one ranks near the top. Thank you so much for helping to foster this community.

May it have another 5, 10, 20, 100 years!

I'm relatively new to balloonchat (joined last May), but I have really enjoyed it!  If I were to pick one "best" thing I've gotten out of the forum (and there has been so much!), it would be the DVD reviews.  They've really helped me figure out which DVDs are worthwhile for me to get!
