Some great balloon furniture;

not sure when this was done but in Jan last year I had a meeting with a young designer to do something very similar.
From memory I think his name was Charlie Swan, just off to google it, I may return with some more info :D

Edit; Got the name right but wrong year, it was two years ago in 2007. Nothing came up on google though

Wow, like to know the formula he used. That could open some interesting sculpting possibilities!!

can you sit on that mark?

any oneelse thinking he should us pinch twists as some of the ends look tatty? :D

is he putting the stuff in the balloons then making them or is it on the outside?

ONCE!!!

Yes I thought it looked a little raggity too. But then how do you show that it originated from balloons?

I looked up the Polyester fiberglass and came up with nothing ... maybe Graham can throw some light on the subject.

Oh yes,  I do like this thread!  Thanks for finding and showing Graham.  And Mark! nice chair!  I can't see any tatty ends on the photo though.  But it is quite small.  I saw Brian Asman make a sofa out of balloons once and that was super. That was made for sitting on though.

Daniel M did a nice chair at a care and share day. Strong enough to sit on. Hope he doesnt mind me posting it.  :D
