We are on the move, after living here for 33 years, now the move has been a saga but in a nut shell..

We had a buyer for 6 months, all was going through, surveys, mortgage, solicitors 100 odd questions he he.
Then we agreed contract signing date, moving date, did not hear anything then for 3 week and they pulled out.
Absolutely shocking behaviour, I was upset for a day but no point letting it get you down.
We are still on the move and have started to change the loft at the new house to convert into my balloon room/office come Balloon Towers.

So thought I'd post a few pictures, the old loft trap has to be moved as where it was had a pitched roof above and
not enough room to easily get into the loft. The new hatch is in the background with the ladders.
Day one was get all the tools and materials in, clear the loft space out and cut the new loft opening.

Day Two.
Fit new 4x2's onto the original 4x2's to strengthen, the old loft was boarded with the chipboard planks.
They are just being used for ease of working up in the lost at the moment.
Picture 5 is the old loft hatch with the pitched roof above, so you can see why it had to be moved.

Day Three.

Last of the joists and more supports being fitted, it has been warm up in the loft even though the weather has not been too sunny.

Day Five.

More stud work going up and strengthening between the joists on the flooring.
I was cleaning the muck/crap from over 100 years out between the joists.

Day Six.

The builders had a day off today so it was just myself re-wiring the upstairs lights and running new lighting into the loft.

Day Seven.

Some materials turned up, flooring, insulation and window, although since taking picture we have gone for a bigger window now that will take 3 days to arrive.

Day Seven.

The flooring went down today and they took all the old supports out. So it started to look more like a room.

All the insulation board went in today, goodness it was very hot up in the loft with all that added.
The door and window are going in where there is no insulation at the moment in picture l31

Day Nine.

Day Nine was fitting most of the plasterboard, they did not do too much as it was such a hot day and very
difficult to work in the loft with all the insulation and heat.

Day Nine.

I took the chair up into the loft as was trying to decide position for desk and where the window and eaves
door should be fitted. It's all very stressful trying to work things out from a blank canvas.

Day Ten.

Now day Ten was the hottest day of the year so the builders decided not to come in and work up in the loft.
I agreed 100% with them, it was way too hot and in such a confined space with no window... as yet.

Day Eleven the builders were elsewhere as the larger window had not come in.
A few other bits had arrived though.
