As I'm sure a lot of you know that for the last three years I've been going around the UK promoting Sempertex balloons who have sponsored the care & share days for me with mystery lecturers & even getting Sabina Kellner & Ralph Dewey to come over for the "David Grist Memorial Lecture"
This has been a lot of fun, one that Lyn & I have thoroughly enjoyed.
With all the work involved with organising the balloon days, promoting Sempertex balloons, my entertaining work etc + the forum, wow I can't believe myself that it's only nine months ago that we decided to try & put the forum online, to say I'm chuffed about it would be an understatement :D Sometimes things just surprise you.
We get some great ideas & listen to everyone about how we can improve things, we are always open to suggestions so please get in touch with any ideas you may have for the future.
It seems like we're on a very steep learning curve at the moment & enjoying it enormously.
Some days were so busy that we have trouble finding time to play with the balloons :(
So what to do.............. I've been in discussions with getting others on board to help promote the Sempertex brand & I'm very pleased (absolutely delighted to be honest) that everything has been sorted & agreed.
We will be making an announcement in the new year on what I'm hoping will be a very successful partnership between myself, Sempertex Balloons and ?
So as they say...watch this space ;)
Graham Lee
So graham
The NEWS is we have to wait? you are like my wife just a tease :D
Hmm, promoting Sempertex..they are not very communication minded: for years I tried to contact (mail) them several times for samples. They don't respond at all. With Qualatex it's a different story: they respond very quickly, handle your complaints and send some samples right away.
Any thoughts?
I did the same thing I emailed them and didnt get any thing back I have a mate who emailed them (not in the uk)and got a full bag of 260 and 160 mixed and a dvd
Very Interesting. Spill the Beans !!!!!!! :D 8-)
does this mean you will be supplying all their balloons in all their 81 colours, including their 6 inch link o loons.
Parcival,
Who did you email?
At previous Millennium jams Sempertex had samples out for the whole duration which were free for you to play with.
At the care & share days in the UK we have samples for everyone to try.
Twist & shout & Diamond jam had samples.
If you were desperate to try them you could have bought a bag or two,
could I ask why it's down to Sempertex to send you some free bags? as there is only so much in the budget for promoting the product.
Mandy + others,
If you let me know what product you require that we dont stock in the UK at the moment as I'm more than happy to get it in for you.
We have orders coming in from Columbia 4 times a year so if you have a rough idea on how many bags will last you till the next shipment that would be good.
The full range can be seen at http://www.sempertexballoons.co.uk (http://www.sempertexballoons.co.uk)

was there any news on a brown?
I got it :idea: I should of got it straight away when you said you been talking on a forum You are going to do a balloon dvd rental very daring. :o
Well I think this is exciting and look forward to the news... :D
I'm just sad that almost straight away this thread (which was supposed to be a good news story!) has been reduced to Sempertex versus the other brand :( :roll: :(
Graham does so much for the balloonchat community... lets get behind his announcement regardless of what our own personal views on brands etc are...
Martin.
Sorry I put the wrong link up in the above thread, it should be http://www.sempertex.com (http://www.sempertex.com)
Congratulations Graham, its sounds exciting.
Looking forward to the details next year!

Many congrats, Thelma. I can't think of anyone who could add further depth to Graham's Sempertex experience than you.
Best wishes to all for a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year.

Happy New Year everyone! I am delighted to have been invited to contribute to the Sempertex "Bandwagon". I am flattered by Graham's description of me and intend to be as supportive to him and to everyone who wants to improve the art. Of course Graham may regret it because the first thing I have done is to start nagging him. Well, serves him right for asking a female on board. I have been using Sempertex balloons for some time now and I have found them perfectly satisfactory (of course) otherwise I would not be coming on board. But I have told him we need brown balloons. I am interested to know if this is just a Thelma thing or if more of you would like to see Sempertex supply a nice mid tone brown balloon to the English market.
Fantastic news - congrats to you both I think this could really launch Sempertex and be good for twisting in general - and yes we do need a mid brown there's a big gap betweeen mocha and chocolate brown
I have said before about the brown
Definately there is no perfect brown for monkeys in the Sempertex range.
just a suggestion, why don't you make a vid on how big the ballons are uninflated and nearly fully inflated (y'know, inflated enough son you can still twist with it!). I've always wondered how big the 660Q are?

160q = 1'' by 60''
260q = 2'' by 60''
360q = 3'' by 60''
660q = 6'' by 60''
It would be hard to show you how far to inflate a balloon as it all depends on what you are going to make.
Congratulations Thelma, good luck to you both in promoting the brand and look forward to reading more of your ideas and creations
Pam
Congrats!!! :D 8-)
top draw news Thelma congrats & good luck dealing with graham lol :lol: happy new year all
