The Hong Kong Trader (HKTDC.com) reports on EU directive about warnings on balloon packets concerning under 8's, which we all will have seen.
The EU explains:-
"The reason the warning was introduced – and has been maintained in the new Directive – is due to several fatal accidents involving balloons. The purpose is to draw parents' attention to the risks of choking or suffocation that exist."
Has anyone any knowledge of recent fatalities? I tell parents of danger to under 3's and they rarely believe me.
