Grrrrrrr !!!!!

Tonight I have been making a large Nelson as a commission for Trafalgar Day, but am having such a problem with my balloons.

I am making his jacket out of black 360's but I cannot believe how many are bursting :evil:

Some are even bursting as I tie the Knot  :evil:  :evil:

All the other colours are OK it is only the black ones I am having problems with. Is this common, or have I got a bad batch ??

Kevin when was the last time you had a manicure? I did have a problem with a bag in the Summer but put that down to the heat which obviously would not be your problem as we had a good ground frost last night.
Sometimes it's best to walk away for 20 mins and have a cup of tea and a scone before attempting again. How is it going now?

Phoenix. I can relate to your problem. However, I have more time on my hands to fix my issue. My clear hearts are breaking at the nozzle end, before I even get to put any air in. Every once in a while I get a bag of poor quality balloons or a bag that I have for awhile appears to have deteriorated. Certain colours seem to be more partial to problems than others. Never have had trouble with the more "solid" colours. Graham's suggestion will probably work. Some of the problem balloons, still work with some gentle coaxing. Good luck.

Anyway, finally completed the figure, and the client was thrilled.
