Title: I wish Q-Tex still had the shades of color from the 70s/80s
Post by: Blueballoons89 on January 18, 2021, 12:23:26 PM
Like the dark green, dark blue, and yellow were slightly different. I think they were more see-thru. Somewhere between jewel tone and opaque. The only place that the "original" green exists now is the Pioneer Water Grenades. When did they go to the current shades? I think around 93ish is when they changed.

I also wish I could talk to more people about this.

So what shades do they not do now? Burnt Sienna is one I remember.

Pretty much all the same but just the standard assorted are slightly different shades from 30 something years ago, especially the green yellow and blue. They used to have this pearlized Fuchsia (not pearl magenta which still exists) in the 90s. Yes I remember burnt sienna but I never used those.

That is why things change and move on due to some colours being more popular than others.
I think colour choice is down to colour sales really.

Yes I agree about discontinuing colors that nobody really uses anymore. Kind of wish that Pearl Fuchsia was still available. How long ago did that get discontinued?
