Our work station set up. I'm not sure where the day one build stopped and day two started.
His belt, which on reflection could have been more bold and chunkier.

Adding some detail around the arms/hands. I think we did lengthen his right arm a little as it was shorter.
Or was the top of the arm in the wrong position? Not sure but we did adjust, I remember that, he he.

A couple of pictures from up where the shops were, the design was located in the lower section of the Corn Exchange.

We then had a go at a few hand designs, all looked wrong.  White mittens, Red Gloves or a natural colour hand.
The Blush hand was made with 260's and looked way way too skinny and well out of proportion.

#20
Finally attaching the arms permanently to the body, before they were just being held in place in case we wanted to move things around a little.
You can see we made the hand from 350's and originally thought they looked too big and out of proportion. But once we had the design
up and the head section in place it all seemed to then fit into place and the hand size seemed to work OK.

In picture 60 the hand does seem a little on the large size still, both Roger and I were unsure here,
it was not till day two and we attached the head that we both agreed they worked OK.

Getting all the details together and still looking at the hand trying to decide what to do.

We made the faces in the evening back at Roger's and decided to make one each in a different size to see what fitted best in the morning when back at the venue.

Roger appropriately dressed for the second day, the design had to be finished by 3.30pm.

Trying both head designs to see what one suited size wise better.

Looking at the proportions, we went with the larger head design but both thought the smaller one would have worked
by the time we added some more hair to the top and sides and bulked out the beard a little more as well.
We moved the design over to the stairs to make it easier to fit the head and his hat.

Checking the Red glove idea but stayed with the natural looking hand idea.

One of the tricky things to do on the build was to get the head sitting correctly on the shoulders.
Roger and I did spend a while getting the correct look as we wanted it looking slightly down and sitting right
for the look of the body and shoulder section. It's just sitting in place here and not the final position.

We took out the Rose for the tongue/mouth section as we both thought this definitely did not look right.

Roger struggling away, we needed bigger steps, he he.
We took away the top section of the centre of his coat so the head would sit better on the design.
A smaller section was added back later.
