I have been away for a few days with Roger Daws helping him on a gig to make a large 3m high Father Christmas at the Corn Exchange in Leeds.

I think it ended up at 11 feet, not sure what the is in metres.
So coming soon a step by step tutorial on how to put it together........  ;D  ;D  ;D

Adding a little detail and how the design is going to stand up with a massive and very heavy metal floor plate.

At the venue, Wednesday morning of day two. I had travelled up to Leeds on the Tuesday and we did about
2.5 hours twisting on the Monday night making the two legs and boots. It is an amazing venue.

Making sure the jacket is the right size and fit before the main weaving.
All the sections started off the same size for a few rows before we increased the size on the front four sections to fill out his tummy section.

On the third picture you can see the front bubbles are now twice the size of the rear ones, the Black un-inflated is the front section of the design.

Checking proportions and when to start closing the top of the body/jacket up.

This is Faye who owns "Days Of Love Events"and got the gig for Roger who then asked me to help him with the build.

The body/jacket nearing completion. I think this was around lunchtime on the Wed so took 3 to 3.5 hours to weave.

Roger deciding if we need some Gold trim at the top of the boots, the final answer was no so it was taken off. You might need to zoom in to see the Gold.
The body was slipped over the top of the frame to see for proportions/sizing etc but was weaved under cover where we had set up the work station.
