Hi all

I have put together a quote for a corporate event, for which they want a fun and interactive team building exercise.  Has anyone done a team building exercise before?  My plan is to get participants into groups of three or four, each with pumps, pens and scissors (and plenty of balloons);  then give an introduction and demonstration, with the final goal being for the teams to work together to make the best creation they can.  The company is changing dramatically and the participants will be overcoming adversity, so I thought learning to make balloon models within 2 hours was a good plan.

Has anybody had experience in this area?

done it many times

We start by getting them to learn the basic 3 twist dog and other basic models and build to getting them to build a basic helmet/hat...

I then show them a BIG hat we create and demonstrate that its not all about twisting but everywhere there is a join or twist you can add a balloon... or you can twist the balloon creating a joining point for another balloon.... the teams then create a BIG hat between them..

and believe me they get to be BIG hats

inorder for judging to take place we have a model style parade to see which ones stay on their heads

done them at corporate events and parties

That's a great idea Pam, thanks for your advice.  I really like the hat idea and might use it if you don't mind - I'll let you know how I get on if they decide to hire me.

Thanks again
