Hi all,

2nd try for this post, hope it works

I have been speaking with Scott Tripp who writes Latex Soup magazine, and was telling him about Balloonchat. He is trying to get more subscribers for the magazing. So he has offered for all balloonchat members to have the latest issue - issue 3 - for free.

The original issue is about 8mb in pdf format, and I cannot add it here so am doing a couple of things so you guys can see it.

I have split the issue into individual pages and resized so that I can add it below. The quality is massively reduced so have also put the original version via yousendit and will post the link below, although it will expire in a few days. If you want me to send the issue via email direct to you then let me know and will happily do that.

Latex Soup is an ever growing project for Scott and he happy for any feedback with regards to the issue - as with this site, the magazine is for the subscribers and he will put whatever they want in the magazine.

The mag is currently about 12 pages long, and has balloon designs, advice, interviews etc etc.

here is what Scott said is his plan for future issues -

"Page one is the cover, with an illustration and title information, combined with the introduction.  A lot crammed into one page.

Page two is the balloon jam reviews, at least for now.

Page three and four is a two-page article, a BalloonCrafting column, Ask the Latexpert, or something along those lines.

Page five through eight or nine is a feature or interview.  Next issue is a 5-page interview with Jeanine Von Essen.

Page nine or ten through eleven is sculpture instructions.

Page twelve is the back cover, with subscription and contact info box.  This page, like the front cover, will serve several purposes-  The info box, plus back cover, plus this is where the "balloon history" type stuff from last issue will go.  So instead of a throw-away illustration or anything, I'll be combining an article with the cover.  This will be either balloon history items (Time Capsule), odd balloon photos or info (Odds & Ends), or a comic (BalloonMan, Airtime, etc)."

I hope you enjoy the magazine and consider subscribing - it is well worth the cost.. the rate is $7 for a 3-issue subscription, and just need to PayPal Scott directly at mailto:WackyCrazyFun@hotmail.com">WackyCrazyFun@hotmail.com

I hope you all enjoy the free issue, if you have any comments or questions then am happy to help and pass them on to Scott
