Graham has said that these comments are not rude. I rang  up Martin to ask him to stop making nasty comments and he reports me to Graham for being rude to him, which I was not.

People like Martin take things out of content. In another post he commented how I was insulting to other men in the profession (relating to stigma with men working with children) which is insulting to me. I simply said that some people have issue with men working with children, which is not me being insulting but the people who think that way. Why did he make the comment, who knows?

I have people on here who  do support me and they have said so. At the end of the day this is a forum not a conversation over the phone or in person so of course you don't always get the true feel of how comments are meant to come across. I am sorry but not because its my fault but because I'm sorry for being a human being. I'm not the best of writers if I were then I would be a TV or film writer, something I would love to do. I am not being funny, I'm actually serious about it.

Sorry... not me, I don't have a post on that thread. I did post on another topic that I thought you were a spammer although I think if you replace the 'mm' with 'nn' then that is probably accurate too (and yes that is supposed to be rude).

I don't know whether to laugh or cry, what has the world come to?  :? just going back to the original topic thread (forgive me if I got lost along the way), I know a few twisters who have been twisting for many years now and they are both happy to and content with just twisting flowers and swords. They have been doing this for in some cases over and above the 20 years that you Daniel say you have been going. However are they more experienced than me someone who has only been twisting for 2 years? I doubt it. I have never been one to shy away from a challenge and openly try to twist new models everywhere I go. I however do not have to practice many hours each week as most of my models are thought of 'on the fly'. The other twisters that I talk of also don't have to practice many hours each week as a flower and sword don't tend to vary much.
I like many people on this forum, would love see a picture of some of your work, or indeed to meet you at one of the care and share days. Perhaps Graham could present you as a mystery lecturer.

At the risk of having said something that I have said before but if you just stop commenting on his posts things may settle down. Danniel strikes me as being one of the children that I have in my class that will do anything for attention and negative attention is better than no attention!!

Maybe we should use the old addage 'If you can't say anything nice... DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL!!'

Can we please get back to being a happy family????

Amen Snurb!  In my educational psychology classes, we were taught to ignore the child that is acting out if the end goal is the attention they receive from acting out.  I am not implying Daniel is an impetuous child, simply that if you do not enjoy his or anyone else's post, do not engage in it, it will move off the active topics list and the thread will die.
Of course, it is sometimes necessary for the teacher to remove impetuous child from the classroom.

My thought's exactly Sarah!! I also feel that, as with my four year old - ignore it and the misbehaving child stops playing up and become nice again! I hope so as this is such a lovely forum to be on.

Daniel this is a forum about balloons not somewhere to have a rant at people. This post is about experience and not about having a rant at people. I suggest that if all you want to do is have a go at people you do it in your own little world. Honestly I never thought I would see the day when GROWN MEN would act as if they were still in their papers. You think that you are more experienced than me. Fine who am I to say otherwise. I have never and by your short and curt reply to my previous post will never meet you to prove otherwise. If your experience through all your years in this profession,  leads you to respond to people the way you do I am pleased to still class myself as a beginner. One day with a bit of luck and some hard training maybe....
