Last nite, I did a charitable gig for "Relay for Life" the Cancer fundraiser.  As most times, I got so many calls for swords and although they are easy and fast I would liked to have used more of my knowledge.  It seems when one child has one - they all want one.  I do not usually make my favorite, the penquin when there is a line up - for the time involved - however I did get a request for one.  Afterwards, of course each child wanted one as well so I told them that I can only make one per sitting as the darn penquins poop all over the place and with that many we just wouldn't be able to walk around in all that poop.  THEY BOUGHT IT!  LOL, even the older kids who knew it wasn't possible accepted my explanation of why I would only make one.   Kids are soooo fun!

Well done - that did the trick. If a child asks me for something I have already made and I just want to do something different I just tell them I am going to make them a really special balloon and if they don't like what I make I will make them their original request. It works 99% of the time.

Every event is a way to show your range of ballooning skills and that you can do more than operate a sword factory so well done.

I love making penguins, especially when I have a queue as it is impressive but still quick. Also to help speed myself up I pre-cut a load of white 260's and have them in a pocket in my apron ready.

Hi,

Just watched the video....love the idea of big "flappy feet" and handcuffs  :D

I love doing penguins, and find them one of the most popular things I do. I almost never make them in black and white though !!

This is the pic on my menu board
Kind regards
Kevin

Ok, ok, so I'm not as fast as all you guys!   I guess that its the same old thing, practise, practise, practise.  I don't do all that much line work actually but if I'm going to do it at all - I better buck up and get better and faster.  LOL and thanks everyone.

I do a penguin that is quite big but quick, I find if I do one then I'm asked for lots. It seems everyone loves penguins

Great tutorial. Your instructions are very clear and the penguin is very cute.
May I suggest cutting the tip off the orange 260 before inflating it. Then tie a knot at the end of the long piece and inflate it separately to avoid having to handle both balloons at the same time.

Thanks David, I have been really flattered with the feedback on my tutorials. I have done the cutting off bit first and if I'm honest I am normally slicker that I was when I filmed. The kids love it if I give then the snapped of bit to hold and it goes down or flies off.
