We have had a few parcels go astray lately with the royal mail first class postal service that never guarantees when they will deliver, some parcels get to there destination next day and some take up to five days. So we have decided from today that all royal mail post will go signed for which will give us a tracking number, this service is more expensive and we may need to increase our postal charges to cover the cost but the benefit of knowing exactly where a parcel is at any given time is worth it.
Apologies to those that have had to wait for their parcels, we still have some that may well be lost now7/8 days and still no sign, I feel a claim or two coming on.
My last parcel was here within 24 hrs Graham!!!

Sempertex have a new mixed bag of 660's out with Blue, Royal Blue, Bubble Gum Pink, Yellow, White, Green, Red and Fuchsia in the bags.
The new stock of Sempertex has cleared customs now and I should be getting it all back in stock 20/21st Oct,
we had about 10 items out of stock but have now updated the website and all is available.
All the stock came in yesterday and orders have now been sent out to those that were waiting :)
We are having a special offer on the medium busking bags, they should be £34.99 + shipping and until the end of the month they will be £25 including shipping.
We have changed the 48 Hr express shipping on both sites to just express shipping, this is mainly due to royal mail taking anything up to 8 days to deliver a first class signed for package. Lyn and I try to offer an excellent speedy service and if we are about a courier parcel will go out the same day if the order is in by 2.oo pm as the deadline for the courier is 2.30 p.m and a first class signed for can be ordered sometimes as late as 4.30 and we will try to catch the post the same day, but once we have posted the order out we are then in the hands of a third party.
Some people have been ordering late on a Saturday night and expecting the parcel Monday, so the 48 HR has caused a few problems with bank holidays, weekends etc when we are just unable to post out due to post office and courier being closed.
When we are away at a care & share day/event we sometimes do have to wait 24 hrs for the parcel to be posted but I do inform you ASAP via email if this is the case. With Christmas coming up parcels will probably take slightly longer with Royal Mail so please allow some extra time to receive your order.
Ideally we would like to move over to just a courier service but this would make the minimum postage charge £10, but at least we are guaranteed to get a next day delivery and as yet the courier has never let us down.
We have no intention of offering any less of a service and will do our best to help out to get an order to you ASAP.
There will be another price increase from Qualatex for the New Year, the price increase varies from 1.5/3% for latex and up to 19% for deco bubbles.
Then on top of this you have VAT up 2.5% as well

The Sempertex 160 Periwinkle is being dis-continued, not sure if this is a UK or worlwide thing. I have 4 bags left if anyone uses and needs them.

It has just been confirmed today that there will be a price increase coming when the new order of Sempertex balloons make it to the UK.
Some product will be going up by as much as 35% and we anticipate making changes to the site around the middle of March.

Royal mail costs go up from Monday, at the moment we have just altered one shipping price on the Sempertex site which was the £6 rate which used to be up to £24.99,
this has now been reduced to £19.99.
We are hoping that will be the only slight increase we have to make on either site.

I would claim to have received an even more remarkable service. Emailed Graham my order and the balloons arrived before I had even paid for them! I don't even bother looking at other balloons sites anymore unless Graham doesn't stock the item and even then I give him a chance to go find it for me.
We should all be supporting the smaller businesses especially when the person running it gives so much back to his customers.

I just wanted to add I placed an order with Go International recently. I usually place my order with Graham but wanted to try another batch of black hearts. I placed my order on the 19th June and it arrived on 13th July!!

A word of Warning!
I will start putting the price of the Qualatex balloons up on the website from tomorrow, so if you are quick you will get at the old price.
I have just spent the day altering all the prices on the Qualatex website, we still sell all our product at less than wholesale prices and have just added free shipping to all orders over £150 except for Northern Ireland which has a small surcharge due to expensive courier and royal mail charges, £50 for £150-199.99 and £7.50 over £200.
Fingers crossed there are no mistakes although we did find that for the past year we have been over charging via the website only for 160/260 metallic so these prices have come down.

I have just taken the plunge and ordered a mobile credit card terminal so no matter where we are we will be able to take credit card payments for the first time.
Hoping it will be all up and running in a couple of weeks.
Our credit card machine has arrived and we can now take payment over the phone for those that wish not to pay via the website and PayPal.
We will also be able to take credit cards at the care & share days and conventions.
Good old Royal Mail, we had an order in last Monday that we shipped out on Tuesday first class signed for and as yet it has not arrived. The customer is annoyed with us, now I appreciate he should be annoyed but I feel with Royal Mail as we did post out ASAP, Royal Mail then inform the customer that we shipped his parcel second class which was not the case so good old royal mail have cost Lyn and I a customer.
I decided to get in touch myself to see what was happening and got informed that a first class signed for parcel can take, now wait for this up to 15 yes 15 days to arrive, what great service. Just wanted to let off a bit of steam.

I got my parcel this morning - thank you for a fine service. They tried to deliver the package 7.40am on Monday morning but I wasn't at home I was in Devon with the Exonian Magic Society day. But I have everything now. Its well worth paying the extra postage to actually receive your order!

Yes it may be time to drop the £6 postal charge and just start with £9 and then everything can go with the courier for a next day delivery. UPS have been good with a 99% next day delivery, now and again things go wrong due to lorries breaking down etc but at least you know exactly where the parcel is all the time unlike Royal Mail.

I've had problems with UPS in the past. Qualatex sent me parcels, next day delivery, and it took over a week. Their computer showed no attempt had been made to deliver. Qualatex, after a few days had passed, paid for Saturday delivery at extra cost, and they still didn't attempt a delivery.
I've heard similar stories about other companies.
You can't rely on anyone.
In the six years we have been trading UPS have only let us down twice with next day dellivery due to a lorry beakdown so we are pleased with them.
Unlike Royal Mail who say there first class service can take up to 15 days to deliver, we have had a few go missing these last couple of months as well.
My last order was with me in less than 24 hours, can't ask for better service than that :D

Qualatex price increase, the price increase is only on a few items, 350's, geo's and donuts. The 350's is only a small increase but I do need to check the increase in the geo's and donuts as it seems like it may be up to and more than £2 a bag.
We have Qualatex 350 white and 260 Neon Pink back in stock, we are also stocking 6" Alien heads in festive assortment 98601. I will add them to the website tomorrow.

Sempertex or Beletex in the USA are another brand made in Columbia.
The large floor McPump pump is now out of stock, we sold the last three at Blackpool, more are on the way and should be with me in 7/10 days.

Now to get to grips with these newfangled balloons.
I have been looking at the postal charge rate on both websites, I can either charge now as I do on cost of item or it can go on weight.
There will always be the odd discrepancy whichever way we do things, the ones that stand out at the moment are DVD's, big 6 foot balloons and busking bags. I normally get around this by adding a bag of 260 balloons to the order but appreciate that sometimes people do not require an extra bag of balloons.
If I change over to the weight cost then again we would have the odd discrepancy as if someone ordered just over 2kg they would then be charged for 3kg etc. Also with this I am not sure how I can then offer free shipping on goods over £150 as everything has a different weight and a few DVD's will cost more than 25 bags of balloons yet the DVD's should be shipped free and the balloons be charged.
Sometimes things are not as easy as we all would like.

can you not offer free postage on orders over a certain amount say £50 then have a charge for say between £1 - £20 & from £20 - £50 don't take these amounts literally I'm sure I have seen this way of charging before
Hi Dennis, yes on the Qualatex site there is free shipping on orders over £150, other charges are,
Up to £19.99 - Postage is £6.00*
Up to £74.99 - Postage is £9.00*
Up to £149.99 - Postage is £12.00*
Personally I think the system you use is fantastic, but it's not always necessary to receive delivery as quickly.
Could you not consider using the express service as an option and/or a standard 3 to 5 day delivery using a different courier at a lower price.
The Royal Mail always seems to be the least expensive option on parcels/packages under 2Kg. Over this weight they do become expensive.
I've just done some quick research and found that a parcel of 2.5Kgs measuring 20cms x 15cms x 15cms on a 3 to 5 day delivery quotes at £3.99 + Vat.
A parcel of the same size, using the same service, weighing 5Kgs would be £4.99 + Vat
A parcel of 7.5Kgs measuring 60cms x 30cms x 30cms would be £6.50 + Vat.
Insurance up to a value of £50 and tracking are both standard with the courier services I've quoted.
If the parcel has a higher value than £50 there is an option to increase cover, for a price of course.
Thanks for the info Rob, we used to do the Royal Mail 48hr parcelforce service and many parcels went missing the majority of people do want the order ASAP.
The cheaper service I have found is where they put the parcel into an outside bin or anywhere else so that they do not have to return again, we do like to have a confirmed sign for courier.
Although we use UPS we actually book through a third party and get a reasonable price but by no means the cheapest, many work on volume of parcels and we are still a very small fish compared to other wholsalers and the big internet companies.

Up to £149.99 - Postage is £12.00*
The above works fine for me.

Yes I have looked at this company before, my comment above about putting items in a bin or so called safe place with no signature was about this company.
You have to book the parcel in for next day pick up, not the same day as we do now and then it takes from 3/5 days to get delivered.
So although they do offer a good price at the moment for me it does not offer a quick enough service.
I was just having a little look around there website and they charge an extra £1.22 for a signature at delivery end
I can understand feeling a little miffed at paying £9 postage for a DVD but on the whole I do not have an issue with the postage rates. My last order comprised of just three bags of Geo Blossom's (still a staggering £40) with £9 postage. The actual postage was just under a fiver.
So I paid £4 extra... Am I overly bothered, no not really, for the following reasons...
a) I am getting wholesale prices at retail volumes (at least for this order usually I buy in much larger quantities)
b) Delivery was next day
c) It took Graham's time to pack the item, tape it, write the address, get the box, place an order with the courier - so the actual postage cost on the box isn't the true cost of delivery
d) then there are credit card and paypal fees to deduct.
I pay nothing to access this forum and I know Graham is on hand to help me out, offer advice and on occasions I have taken valuable stock on 'trust' at events, care and share days, and promptly paid the following day via bank transfer (yes I can be relied upon).
I won't get that level of service, help and support from any of the other major balloon suppliers.
Perhaps one idea would be to offer a pre-paid postage option, i.e. I give you £50 upfront and then for each order you deduct my postage fund by cost price plus 5 or 10% to factor in overheads?
Or maybe we should just be happy with the current service, the competitive prices, the tip top service, the added value of the forum and the fact that without Graham's store my life would be a whole lot more difficult.
If you are a paid entertainer earning decent rates from ballooning then really a few extra quid makes no difference whatsoever.
Don't shoot me down for sharing my views or I may have to flex my newly acquired moderator muscles (that was a joke by the way :lol: )
Just chuck me in a bag of balloons now and again and that keeps me happy.

I'm also very happy to plug any event or charity you are trying to help out with a mention and link on the news page of the forum. I am sometimes unable to compete with the big boys on postage but we score more on the added extras that we offer but are sometimes not seen by all. We will continue to try to help everyone to promote our balloon art while offering a very unique service to all our latex friends that we feel is not offered by other companies. I still have the same passion for our art all these years down the line and hope it never goes away. Thanks for reading, we all get hurt and upset sometimes.

I really can not say thanks enough for ALL your (and of course the Balloon Chat members) help with the charity work I'm involved with. With your help, I was able to take 'an unpaid' five week tour putting smiles on 1000's of kids with my magic & balloon shows.
However, being involved in so much charity work does have its down sides. I'm obviously now expected to pay over the top postage fees and just accept it. I also get so many calls from other companies as well asking for free shows etc, because they've helped our charity, not just the 'Make A Smile Appeal' but also the 'Chernobyl Children's Lifeline' charity I was chairperson off. If I said yes to them all, I wouldn't earn a living.
In the past six years, I've spent £1000's from my own pocket on the charity tours etc. For example, with fund raising events last year, I managed to raise almost £5000 to pay for all the expenses for my five week tour to Belarus and Ukraine. But it still wasn't enough so I put over £2000 out of my own pocket. So forgive me if I decide it's time to try and save money by not paying excessive postal charges.
You said a while ago that the £9 for a single DVD was to cover the postage and packaging. Well the postage with Royal Mail is a maximum of £1.09, so the envelope must have cost £7.81.
You asked for comments regards postage. I've brought from other dealers in the past who had postage charges on their websites. And when it came to them arranging the postage, they refunded some via paypal as they actually thought the cost was too high. Now that's good service. You mention giving a bag of balloons if ordering a DVD; to me, that's admitting that you feel the cost is too high.

In the most respectful and sincere way, I do feel you may have taken Graham's comments personally and to heart. You raised the issue about high postage charges in a different thread and quite rightly voted with your feet and purchased your DVD from an alternative source. I don't think anyone is criticising you for that and you do of course have complete freedom to do whatever you choose to do.
On this thread Graham asked for feedback and ideas on how to make improvements and it was probably my fault for sharing my views and highlighting the other benefits of using Graham over other suppliers (at least from my personal point of view).
Only Graham will know what he intended in his comments and I am sure he will answer in due course but I would be very surprised if this was a dig at you in person.
As regards to your voicing your opinion, positive or negative, this is wholly acceptable.
I must also congratulate you for the charity work you do. Very inspiring - well done.

I was just carrying on from what Darren had posted previously about his views and other suppliers.
I am always asking for news items to add to the news page and I wish one or two more would come in so that we can refresh the home page more.
We are aware as said previously that there are the odd thing here and there on the site that does throw up the wrong postal charge and we do try to address the situation.

This would I think also cause a problem here and there so I do not think it's worth spending two days changing the postal rates over, the main problem would be not being able to offer free postage on orders over £150 as it would go on weight and not cost.
Maybe someone who is more technical may be able to tell me how this is achievable but at the moment I do not know how to do it.
When I started the forum I did not even know how to put an attachment onto an email, so I do think I have progressed but only on a need to know basis and at the moment it would be handy to know how to sort the postal situation out.
And thanks for being honest and telling us what you think as I expect others may be thinking the same but will not comment, we have looked to see what the best solution maybe and I was looking to possibly raise the lower postage rate value up to 24.99 which would then make the 6ft balloon and the DVD's (if I lower them to 24.99) down into the £6 postal rate which may help.
To clarify it does cost £3 to post out a single DVD as we send everything signed for and we will continue to add the odd bag of balloons into an order where we feel the postage is to high.
Like the care & share days and on here all constructive comments which yours were are welcome.
Without the comments the days would not evolve and we would not improve the service we try to offer via the websites.
We would also like a few more people taking advantage of the advertising space, Roger did comment that he had at least 20 calls/emails from the find a twister section.

You do not get charged postage on a Care & Share day, which means you must be able to zero rate some items for postage.
Couldn't you just increase the price of the DVD's to include the postage and then zero rate them?

We had numerous calls and people saying at the days, we would buy from you but when you add the postage cost you are dearer, even though all over the site we had no added extras,
the price you se is the price you pay. No VAT or postage to add.
So if we went down this route which is an option I feel we may have a similar situation, but then perhaps that is better than the situation we have now.
Before ordering my balloons from Graham I made a couple of enquiries locally and the lowest price I could find for a bag of 100 Qualatex balloons was £12.50.
Even with the postage cost included, the few bags of balloons I received from Graham worked out at less than half the price, and I didn't have to wear out any shoe leather going to collect them.
I do love a bargain :)

Didn't make myself clear... I meant where you order a care and share day through the site you do not get charged postage and so technically you must be able to 'zero' rate postage, rather than when you buy a DVD at a Care and Share day.
I thought you may be able to incorporate a lower postage rate into the unit price of a DVD (on the site) and then not add postage.

Hi Martin, yes I do think I understood you correctly, I would be concerned that 99% of product on the site would be plus postage and the DVD section including postage.
I'm just off to increase the first postage band form 19.99 to 24.99 for a trial period to see how this goes and I will reduce the DVD's to 24.99 so bringing the postage down to the £6 unit.
Not sure if I mentioned this earlier but we reduced the price of the David Grist DVD's from £15 to £12.50 and the full set from £110 to £99.
This is for a limited time only, we had the special at Blackpool and will keep it going for a few more weeks, till the end of March.

Just found another little wrinkle, we reduced the price of David's DVD's from £15 to £12.50 which makes if you order one DVD you pay £6 postage and two the postage will be £9.
So if we reduce David's DVD's from £12.50 to £12.49 then the postage for two will stay at the £6 cheaper rate. Just off to change the prices now.

As I did explain at Bristol and everyone laughed as they thought it was a sales ploy, we have now sold all the pink cat faces and they are no more. They have been dis-continued, we have approx 6 bags of white cat faces left and then they will be no more as well.
The qualatex website is now up to date, the only item out of stock is the 5" round whites.
We had about 15 items on the sempertex website out of stock, it is all now back in stock. It does say that metallic White, metallic Gold and metallic Key Lime are out of stock but we believe that there is no more in the warehouse and so none of these items will be available now in the UK. When the metallic's are all sold they will not be replaced, we are keeping the mixed bags. There will only be 5 colours in the 360 range kept and at the moment all the 660's are not being re-stocked although I am trying to get the 660 assorted bags kept. We have reduced many of the said items, sort of like a clearence sale.
The McPump one stroke floor pump will be back in stock tomorrow, just sorted out the import duty.

The dreaded VAT, I have spent the weekend sorting out prices on both websites and price lists we send out as we have had to apply to be VAT registered.
Unfortunately we have had to increase the majority of prices including the care & share days and BAG membership, one or two lines have not been increased.
At the moment the VAT is included in the price on the retail and wholesale website but as soon as we have a VAT number the wholesale site will be excluding VAT
as all other wholesalers operate this way.
To say the past few weeks have been a little stressful would be an understatement :( Still keep smiling and don't let the buggers get you down, as my gran used to say ;)
I forgot to mention we will be trying a new courier soon, just setting the account up. They offer sending a text message with a one hour delivery window service slot.
I think this may be useful to some so that you can go out and just pop back when required, fingers crossed it works.

Hi Darren, No I have not increased the prices by 20%, 260's went up between 14-24p 5" rounds stayed the same price, the larger value items went up the most as 20% on a £30 bag of balloons is a few pennies but even then we did not increase by 20%. I am aware that life is difficult and party bookings are not what they used to be as I still go out entertaining myself and it's not like the good old days where we were turning work away every weekend. I'll email over the new price list, you can then compare if you have an old price list. I have tried to keep it all competitive and it has been a bit of a worry.
I have just added an extra lower shipping price and adjusted a few price bands, new shipping on the Qualatex site is,
up to £14.99, £4
up to £29.99, £7
up to £99.99, £10
up to £149.99, £12.50
over £150 there is free postage
So if someone wants the odd bag it will be cheaper and DVD's will fall into the cheaper postage band as well. The £10 rate used to be up to £74.99 so this has increased as well.
I have just had to put the shipping price up for orders to Northern Ireland on the Qualatex website, orders over £150 to most of the UK are free and we were having a nominal £7.50 fee for orders over £150 to Northern Ireland. Unfortunately due to the large rise in April by Royal Mail the cost to send a case of 50 bags is now £21.40, we have put the rate up from £7.50 to £15 so still subsidising it a little.
Just incase anyone has been trying to place an order on the Qualatex site today and seen the prices changing before their eyes it's because I have been changing all the prices about due to registering for VAT. I still need to do the DVD, rounds 11" and rounds 5" sections but I'm taking Harry out now and having a break, will finish off tonight, no prices have gone up I'm just making the wholesale site excluding VAT the same as other wholesale companies.
I think it's all done and sorted, fingers crossed no mistakes but I will double check everything again in the morning,

Mil's has been in touch to tell me that anyone in Europe that has a VAT number I can send product free from the GB VAT charge, I just called the VAT helpline and it seems all OK.
I can also send to non EU countries VAT free as well, this may help with selling David's DVD's to America. I need to double check first as it's a bit of a worry with big brother looking over your shoulder checking things.

At the balloon days/conventions we sell the odd bag of Qualatex hearts in Jewel Magenta, Quartz Purple and Saphire Blue but up till now not on the website.
I have just discovered why, they were not on the website. Goodness knows how I forgot to put these on. They are now if anyone does use them.
I'm not expecting a mad rush as they are not a best seller.
I have just put up the details of two new DVD's that we now have in Stock, Pinch Line Technique and Flowys, both from Antonio Becares.
Having a little problem with getting a good quality picture on the site with the product for some reason, spent the past 30 mins and still no good.
I'm walking away now and will try this afternoon again to get a better quality picture loaded.
I just wanted to mention that after Antonio and I had struck the deal via email he pointed out when I collected them from him that he had saved a few pennies on the production cost of the Flowys DVD and so adjusted the payment or I could have extra DVD's. I thought that was nice, and then he got out an extra DVD of each and presented them to me as his personal gift for my collection. I was touched as this is the first time this has happened and I thought it was a lovely gesture and this is why I wanted to mention it, and I have now :D

The courier firm was excellent – got a text yesterday to say the order was ready for despatch and another this morning giving me delivery times for later today. I took the option to ask them to deliver to a neighbour and got a text saying that was OK and another later to confirm the delivery had been made. Also got a card through the door telling me the delivery was with my neighbour. All in all, fantastic service from yourself and the courier. Thanks very much again.

I know we have mentioned this before but I do need to re-word the two advertising boxes on the Qualatex website. Since we went VAT registered the one mentioning the price you see is the price you pay is a little confusing, it is correct on the retail site but obviously on the wholesale site there is VAT to add. All other wholesale sites that I have looked at also add the VAT at the checkout so we have to be competitive and in line with these.
It is always nice to get feedback and suggestions if anyone would like to comment?
The artwork and text are a lot crisper on the original copies.

On the 1st April Royal Mail changed the postal charges and parcel size as well, for us this meant anything under 1kg, approx. 4 bags 260's would go still with Royal Mail but 5 bags,
over 1kg would go with the courier. I have changed the shipping costs on the Sempertex site,
up to 24.99 used to be £6. This is now 19.99 and shipping is £5. We have also added an extra band in to make the just over £20 fee £7.50 rather than £10.
As usual it is difficult to work things out and if we find someone is paying far to much we will either add an extra bag of balloons or will do a refund.

I have just amended the "FREE" shipping price on the Qualatex website, it used to be £150 retail and £150 + VAT wholesale.
I have reduced this to £125 retail and also £125 wholesale, so the wholesale with the vat is £150. As the site is a template I'm unable to make the shipping prices the same for retail and wholesale, so decided to bring the prices down as the wholesale free shipping at £180 with the vat I thought was a little high.
Also for January we are offering a free DVD with orders over £250, this will be a DVD of our choice and not one of mine, thank goodness for that I hear you cry ;)

Just a quick question about the 2 websites. When you only need a couple of items from 1, and lots of items to qualify for free postage from the other, it is a bit long winded to pay separately and be separately invoiced. Is there a reason why the wholesale section isn;t combined, or to have a joint shopping cart? Or do they have to be kept separate for accounting reasons? It would just be so much simpler to do one shop and payment from a customer's point of view. I understand it might not be so simple your end though.
If you order from both websites I do alter the postage costs accordingly, you can just do the one order and call me or email to ask for the other products.
I can then send over a paypal request or take credit card. Unfortunately I have to sell the Qualatex products on it's own website.
THought there was probably a reason. Yes I did that last time which was fine and I appreciated the combined postage. Just wondered why it had to be on 2 sites though but it makes sense that Qualatex brand couldn't have any other products on an official Qualatex page. Thanks for clearing that up.

It's a bit of a guessing game, orders come in every 3 months so we have to guess what stock is required and how much in that time period will sell.
Depending on trends and sometimes what new designs come out we run out too soon. The minion was very popular so we had a run on 360 yellow.

We are looking into having a drop down box on the buy 25 or 50 bags balloons so you can add what bags you require and then we are going up market and having two apps built for the site, one for google and one for android/windows. We need an icon/picture and my web guy John sent this over, not twisting/modelling balloons but very shiny round balloons. Has anyone got some ideas for what the icon on the app should be? Help is appreciated.
Since having the review section on the website, it has been on now for approx seven weeks we have had 376 spam attacks for bags, shoes etc etc.
Luckily the site takes them out and I do not have to do anything except hit delete all so no problem.

We are in the process of updating the Sempertex website, well when I say updating we are actually building a new website.

We are thinking about changing some of the shipment ways we send out orders, the majority of orders we actually subsidise.
The courier we use charges us £8.17 per shipment and we have shipping prices from 3.99. The lower cost shipping does go first class at £3.30 but on other orders we are paying £3.18.
Which over a month does add up to quite a bit.
I did not realise till the other week we can ship up to 2kg with royal mail for £2.80 second class, we can add to this a signed for service which would make it £3.90.
I found this out trying to work a better cost for shipping to the Isle of Wight and Northern Ireland as our courier charges even more for these two destinations. £10.84 and £23.10
So would people be annoyed with a second class delivery (second class postage wise not speed that we ship them out, we like to offer a first class service :) )
after being used to the speedy service we try to offer. I think they would.
So the best solution would be to offer both selections at check out, something for me to ponder on.
As a hobbyist, I only order a few bags at a time and would certainly not be concerned about a day or two lag in postage if you were able to offer it at a slightly lower rate. I do appreciate that I might be in the minority though.
The option for a quicker delivery would also be a good idea for those rush jobs
If you could narrow it down to 2 or 3 choices then the customer can decide on speed vs cost for their order as I'm sure you'll still get some that will need next day.

I put the price of some of the sempertex products up last week,
WARNING, I might have made a mistake.
This was the first order I had to place via Europe, we used to get them from the UK.
We also had free shipping from the UK and now have to pay shipping from Europe.
Just double checking as I think some of the prices I might have put into euro's and not converted to pounds.

this is rather mis leading as I have either held the prices or reduced them.
The only price increase on the site at the moment is the small 160 balloon
inflator. We will have to increase the 260 chrome but I will hold off till
next week. We are trying some gorilla advertising for a few weeks,
till the end of March to see how things go.
Hoping to get more volume with a smaller profit margin.
