We were discussing Roses the other day and I mentioned I don't really have a go to Rose that I use.
So there was the next day and a half making Roses, ended up with over 15 variations on a theme.
Some had potential and some went straight to the bin ;D
As I made so many I'm not sure in what order they were made to get to the final design.
A few more along the way.
As I said as I made so many I'm not sure in what order the Rose developed and evolved.
A few more.
This was after day one of trying the designs for a Rose.
Then I think this was onto day two.
These Roses are made from 160's, the stem looks a little too big for the actual Rose though.....
or perhaps its just me thinking this?
Had an idea, perhaps I just need to make the leaves a little smaller.... ;D
These are some of the Roses I ended up with.
The middle one is made with a 260.
So we come to the favourite Roses I made from my two days of playing with latex.
I ended up with three Roses that I liked from 260 balloons, one with 7 petals for
the real world and then a 12 petal and the 17 petal Rose.
From 160 it was just a 3 petal wrap over that I went with, will post all my favourites.
The Red is a 7 petal and the Purple is 17 petals
I then played with different dimensions for the underside of the Rose to see what was pleasing to my eye.
Last picture from how the Rose evolved..........................for the moment.
I'm rather into the different looks for the Rose at the moment and will definitely be making some more soon.
The finished Rose made from 160's.
I made some more Roses, shock horror ;D
And then some petalled flowers after.
I was making some more Roses today for the Zoom workshop we are running tonight.
I made in Lime as when showing and explaining the design via a camera on Zoom, Red, Pink and White
reflect back into the camera and are difficult to view. Lime is pretty good for seeing all the details.
The Roses are all very slightly different, not sure if its too noticeable?
A couple more ;D
And another two ;D
And even more ;D ;D
They were made in Lime as it was better for the live zoom session.
The details show up better for the camera than with Red, White or Pink.
I think this is possibly the Rose to go to for working in the real world.
Although I have just made two more and off to photograph them to see what they look like.
You can sometimes see more detail and faults when looking at a picture.
A selection at the end ;D
I made a vase for them to sit in as well.
I made these for the Ultimate Rose workshop that we ran on Zoom this week.
Just made the Rose again, looking at it though we may have come away slightly from it looking like a Rose?
Each one is made slightly different, one with 1 finger, one with 1.5 finger and on with 2 finger bubbles.
I think you have to look twice to see any difference though.
Making more Roses, looking back at the ones we made on this thread I'm thinking...
How the hell did I make these, he he should have videoed them at the time, oops.
Another Rose, made late at night as the light had gone when we took the picture.
Took picture in better light and then made two more variations on the Rose.
