oh and ask neil to bring his balloons !!!!! So instead of getting smashed in the kitchen with all the adults on new years eve wading into the buffet. I'll be twisting for about 15 sugared up, hyper kids. Arghhhhh. 8-)

I know how you fell Fairby. I am always getting asked and until recently, I always took balloons and magic as well. Now I've stopped, I explain that for me it's work and if I'm out, I want to relax like everyone else.

I was out for a meal with 30 people last night, quite a few times I was asked to do some magic and I just kept saying sorry, it's my night off. One of the girls there is a nail technician and she backed me up by saying she wouldn't want to start doing someone's nails on a night out.

When I did it for a hobby it was different, but it really gets my back up now that everytime we're invited anywhere we always get asked those 'immortal words'  :evil:  :evil:

I can remember when I 1st got into magic and balloons I always had pockets stuffed with magic tricks and balloons, and almost forced myself on people in my eagerness to show of my talents.

Now I carry nothing with me unless I think I may get bored then I put some things in the car and if I get bored I do stuff on my terms just to keep myself amused.

Sometimes it can make you feel like you've only been invited because you will provide freee entertainment.
