Hi, i wonder if you can help, i have been asked to do a twisted balloon arch for a function the balloon arch has to be 7.5mtrs long and 2.1mtrs high, but people need to walk under it all the way along as there is a set of stairs and two escalators. The first question i have as i have never done a balloon arch this big and a twisted one is re the weight. I was thinking on start ing the arch on two columns one on either end but i am not sure that the columns would take the weight. or make the arch bigger i have a little room to play with, and make my own weights with sand. Any ideas. If i make my own weights does anyone know how heavy they should be. Sorry for all the questions.

Many thanks

Hi Lorraine, I'm more into twisting so unable to answer your question. Not too many look in on the forum now,

I don't understand what you mean by a twisted arch. how will it span twenty-odd feet without helium, or support?
Do you mean the usual arch on a frame made with round balloons plus a few twisted figures?
