I've been volunteered by my wife to make some balloons at the school summer fete.

It was nice and simple until she told me that the theme for the event is "Space" and it would be good to make some balloons that are around this theme!

So far all I can think about is getting some of the 5" alien balloons that I have seen, and making a basic hat out of them.

Any other suggestions of balloons I could make around the space theme would be greatly appreciated.

How about dressing a child up as a space man???

For quickness, some mini rockets or there were also some small alien bracelets posted recently which were really good.

"Space" That's perfect for balloon modelling as inside every balloon there is plenty of space :D

How about the one balloon ray gun.

How about a 2 balloon ray gun!

or even take a 5" or 9 or 11" and wrap 160's or 260's round to make planets they can go on 260 balloon sticks or as wristables

An alien head in clear helmet fixed to a geo blossom 'spaceship'. Really easy but very effective!  :)

Or a white bee body (with tip) Rocket with orange flames?? Very easy too.

How about two large pinchtwists on a 260 with a 3 finger bubble pushed through the hole of the geo and attached to the clear.
Just guessing here  :geek:

Sorry, it's much more simple than that, you just stuff the head into the clear and inflate both. Inflate the geo, put the head into the hole in the geo, pull the knots through and tie to the knot on the geo. Try to tie the balloons off with as much 'tail' as possible.

I've just done some quick pics to try and demonstrate, hope it makes sense.

It's really easy and effective and I find that usually once one has been made they are really popular.

I've also uploaded the rocket one, which is again really simple.

Hope they help  :)

Not sure whose ideas they both were so sorry for not crediting the original twister  ;)
