Title: Wreath
Post by: Graham Lee on March 10, 2022, 04:57:31 PM
I was looking at making a wreath, I built a frame to start. This is just one side so I could get the look and feel for the design.

I tried a few different flower designs but went with the rose that I taught on my BalloonTube channel.

This is the link if anyone would like to make it, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUVYQG4s22s

Due to the lack of a few colours I went mainly with the Rose colour but when we make it will be a selection of all three colours.

I liked the White bubbles going through but the design needed more Green so we tried a few variations.

The puff of air 350 made the design to scruffy and untidy for me but I did like the wheat weave for leaves at the end.

I stuck a few of the puff of air 350's together, it was better but still did not look right to me.
So took them off with the White bubbles and started again.

I made a plait from the 350's but did not use in the final design.

The last pictures, we will be making this symmetrical on the day.
This is just half the design to see what it looks like and how it will flow and come out.

We made the wreath today, I have taken a few pictures as we built it and went along.
The first rose of many.

Securing the side leaves to the centre section and then starting to add a few roses.

Slowly adding the Roses to the design and building it up.

Just trying some different looks for the ends to see which I preferred.

We then took the wreath outside to spray.

Sometimes you can over do designs, one needs to step back which hopefully I did with this design.
This is how it was finished.
