Hi Tony

Found this on the Conwin site http://www.conwinonline.com/PDFs/dualsizer.pdf , for the dual split --

Air Compressor Required Specifications
• Primary Moisture Filter
• 20 Gallon Storage Tank
• Cycle Pressure: 90 PSI On - 120 PSI Off
• Compressed Air Availability: 6.5 Cubic Foot/Minute @ 90 PSI

Hope this helps

Talk to Yvonne or Roger, Air compressors are very noisy and heavy to move about. Yvonne went down this route about 12 months ago..

Conwin dup 2's and split second sizers use tanks and compressed air tanks the 't' tank size are about £6 and nitrogen is about £15 at tank plus vat and hire charges.. and you get lotsof balloons inflated out of one.

A good electric pump can work just as well and quieter.  check out the zibi pumps - we find them work horses... have yet to break one - my oldest we have had for 20+ years and it was second hand then..

The other one I use is the precision air - its expensive, but if you are doing lots of work, it saves so much time.. prior to having one I used gas tanks and my split seconds.

I gave up with the compressor.  I bought one but it wasn't man enough for the job although I learned a lot about them in the process.  You need a decent sized compressor (at least £100) in order to inflate rounds but as Pam says they are VERY noisy and very slow. Much cheaper and quieter to get a nitrogen cylinder from your supplier.

I have a pro-aire inflator which is good but it doesn't size things for me so next time I get a big air job I'll be investing in nitrogen as I have my Heidi (discontinued / bust equivalent to the Dual split sizer).  Should the need require in the future I will invest in a zibi or conwin air inflator which actually works in the same way as the dual split.  Although good priced zibi's are very few and far between.  I've been looking for one for 2 years now and my suppliers can't get them yet.

Never knew that Pam.  It's Up Up that I've been waiting to get them in stock for since the fire but to no avail although I haven't checked recently as I don't have the money anymore.  Should I start getting a lot of air filled work in I'll look it up as the Conwin one is so expensive and even zibi at retail is cheaper  ;)
