If anyone has their balloons/equipment stored away from their home in a unit/store room . . . . which company do you use for your insurence? I haven't looked yet, but I'm guessing my NABAS insurence won't cover it.

Thanks for any advice :)

If you are storing your equipment in a commercial facility like Spacesaver or Big Yellow Storage Company then they usually insist on you taking out their own contents insurance. It is only a couple of pounds for a £1000 of cover and will take care of any loss to your balloons. Don't under estimate the value of your stock though.

Last week I worked out the value of my modelling balloons - just over £2000!!! I was amazed....

we have a commercial business combined policy from NFU..

It covers balloon contents and equipment (not the disco, so be careful when you talk about your show stuff!!) and other things like accidents and stuff (quite a big list, dont understand why some of it, they say its part of the policy) cost us about £500 a year.

Your NABAS policy does cover you for the public liability and employee liability side of it (especially if you change your business address to the premises) so you dont need to pay extra for that - think that saved me sosemthign like £300 of my policy

If you are checking out and you get a real good deal let us know, maybe we call all benefit form it
