Hi all,

Just wondering if many people here use Link-o-loons on a regular basis in décor. If so, what you think of them in terms of reliability, durability, etc. I've had a play with some in the past, but never used them 'in anger' as it were.

Looking forward to reading your thoughts & opinions.

Cheers,

Steve ;)

I used to use them to make my balloon magic prop box, I now use a cardboard box and wrap 360's around it, takes a good 40 mins less to make the act up.
I also made a love heart up that is on my Romantic twist DVD with link o loons, so up-sizing that worked well.

Thanks for the input Graham, but I was thinking more of large-scale décor for weddings, parties etc. (I'm not and never will be an accomplished 'twister'!)

Cheers,

Steve ;)

Never say never :)

They are good balloons and you can get some great results from them.

The problem is they are Sempertex and not Qualitex so they don't get prompted and are not easily available in the UK (yes you can get them but with Oaktree the main suppler you have to buy loads).

agree with Roger

When it comes to simple archways I call them my health and safety archways as there is no line

great for proms, 16ths 13ths etc

You can make your own LOL balloons by using any Qualatex balloon and a Nikoloon tool.
This extends the color and type palette of the balloons you can use.

Do you use helium in the top of the arch and air for the bottom Pam to make them stand without a frame - I am yet to use Helium all my designs are air filled - although I am considering a decor course but the canisters and all tye equipment you need scare me a little lol

Sonia- if you don't use your Nikoloon tool, I'd be happy to buy it.

I have the tool that's when I bought of nico.

It's ok and does the job but link p loons are a lot easier.

Don't be put of by the price of helium kit you don't need to spend a fortune all you need is a tilt valve and a sizer box to do some nice balloon decor.

When it comes to the subject of arches, I was wondering if it was worth running very fine line behind the link-o-loons just in case one pops? (you'd probably end up with 2 oddly sized columns, like as not  )

Cheers,

Steve
