Balloon Review 070 - Quick and Impressive Big Bear Heads by Simply Shonna

Available from https://adventureinfun.com/Merchandise.html (https://adventureinfun.com/Merchandise.html) priced $35

This is the third DVD I have reviewed using big bear heads by Shonna. There are some new models on this DVD and a few changes on previous designs so I will certainly make reference to those. My thoughts on bear heads and there market potential remain the same so this will not be a review with lots of words!

Let's see what we have here.....

GINGERBREAD MAN

A very quick and easy gingerbread man which with the artwork added is quite nice. This model (and many more) uses 350Q for arms rather than 260s from the previous DVD. I think that helps to make the balloons more 'cuddly'.

CHOCOLATE BUNNY

Similar to the bunny on the previously reviewed DVD but this one uses 350s instead of 260s. A quick and easy bunny, quite cute, a favourite one of mine...

RABBIT

A slight variation of the previous chocolate bunny but this one has flat ears. Very quick and easy to make - perfect for line work.

BLUE MONSTER

A very quick and simple blue monster (maybe Cookie Monster?) which uses the same basic design but with the addition of a 5" white round on the top for eyes. This one is instantly recognisable and the children will love it.

RED MONSTER

Change the colour to red and add a nose for an Elmo type character.

Laughed out loud that you put cookies in the Red Monsters hands.
I guess Red Monsters love cookies too! ;)

Ha ha Shonna   They looked like cookies on the DVD but then I wasn't sure if they were supposed to be hands!

Oh well, there are enough biscuits for everyone..

Hi Nippy,
I use to put pinch twist hands of the same color on all of the characters until I realized I could skip them when I had a really long line.   Now I think they look better without them, so I don't do it for most of the characters unless it is important to show the hands like on the Plumber Brothers or something like the 3 little kittens.

I am about simplicity and speed with big impact. ;)

I am quite positive that the Red Monster enjoyed his biscuits though because who doesn't love biscuits!

SNOWMAN

I wish I had found this one before Christmas. This snowman is very quick to make. The 260Q scarf can be made in any colour and if you want to be really quick then you can miss out the optional hat! The artwork can be as complicated as you choose.

I think this one would have worked really well for my Christmas shows.
