Who has a nice fish hat? :)

Love your fish hat.  I always find it difficult to do a pinch twist at the very start of the balloon. Do you make a bubble and twist the knotted end round it? Sorry if this sounds a bit of a daft question but i don't have much experience yet

Hello Janie,
Perhaps you should burp the balloon before you tie it and then make the bubble and twist the knot (not the nozzle) around the twist.    Instructions can be found in the tutorial section http://www.balloonchat.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1107

Enjoy the twisting :)

Thanks Daniel, think i got it at last! At least this one has stayed firmly in place and not unravelled like the rest (or popped) :D

Thank you Daniel. Wonderful clear instructions. So useful. I'm going to make it in grey as a fantastic shark. I'll show you the results.

Hello Natalie ;)
Please do post your fantastic shark.  I would love to see it and have more ideas on making fish hats

Hello Natalie,   That is a fantastic shark hat.  I see that you have made it to curve behind the head and be more practicle to wear than my version.

Thanks! I do like it a lot, though just to let you know - here is a different way of making a hat frame that uses less pinch-twists.

Hi Here are a couple of Fishing Hats - The Fish is made with a 5 inch round.  A 160 halved with 2 pinch twists for lips.  The nozzle of the round is attached to the pinch twists.  The remainder of the 160 is pulled back and looped to make fins.  The eyes are made from a heart.  The fishing line (which I make a bit longer) is made from Dental Floss (or you could use an un-inflated 160 clear)
