Title: Frumple Twist (10)
Post by: Graham Lee on January 27, 2009, 07:23:51 PM
The frumple twist is just a tulip/apple twist that is attached to the side of the balloon to form an anchor point to attach another balloon. So push the knot into the balloon to the required position/depth and grab the knot through the balloon with your other hand. You can either tie this with a scrap of balloon for safety or add the next balloon straight to this attachment point.

I used the frumple twist for the duck I teached at the care and shareday last week.
For this duck I make the frumple twist in a heart. So this heart has a nice shape for a duck body and could be easely attached to the beak and head. I'll look up if I have a picture for you.

and I think you can see here how the frumple twist is used?!

The front of the body is were the knot was.
Thinking of it.....the head is also a frumple twist heart!

Nadine my 8 year old doughter tried to follow the instructions. She did it right!
Only she diddn´t understand that she needed a ballonscrap (or something else) to fix the frumple.

So after I explaind that even my 5 year old doughter Marielle did it!
Oke she needed a bit help becourse she found it hard to twist the frumple. She held it and I twisted the balloon.

They found it funny that using the frumple twist in a 260 or 350, it will distort the shape of the balloon.
