I am in a bit of a pickle. I need a frog that is beyond the basic frog yet not so detailed that it takes forever to make.

I am just having some type of mental block. If anyone could post some images maybe that coould get me off on the right foot.

Thanks

It's amazing what hitting the search button above does  :D  ;)

These are only the first two, there are 8 pages of frogs.

Thanks Graham,

I had seen the frogs that you linked to the thread.

I have been making frogs that are very similar to the Don Caldwell Bullfrog that uses two hearts joined at the lobe. The issue I am having is that when I work outdoors in warmer weather 85 degrees F + in the sun the two hearts tend to fuse together. Thusly, they become difficult to manipulate while adding the other features..they tend to burst ( even when soft).

The ones you stated are great examples. I was just looking for ideas. This weekend I'll sit down and try and incorporate some of the ideas from those posted.

Thanks

Here is a simple frog I do for the little ones.  He's a bit creepy looking but the kids love him for some reason.  The extra details can be added quickly if made before hand...frog.jpg[/attachment:2c922kh1]
How much do you charge?  A fortune!

Thanks JackMagic.

I really like the frog.  It is different from I have seen. I am working on one right now that I will try and post this weekend. Thanks so much

This is a frog that I've used when I want something bigger - it's pretty simple and used 2 rounds and 2 260s

This is the frog I made with a 5" qualatex frog print.
Not special, but nice.
Only I would like to have the prints a bit bigger!, I'm sure that would look nicer.

LOVE that hat!!  Too cute!  I'm gonna have to see if I can work that one out if you don't mind.  Would be a cute addition to my hats.  That's my favorite thing to make!!

OK - I made an attempt at that frog hat.  Something's not quite right with the mouth but I can't figure it out...  Mark, would you mind advising?? :|0618092051.jpg[/attachment:1atc2w2k]0618092052.jpg[/attachment:1atc2w2k]

I think Mark used 2 locktwisted bubbels for the mouth.

THANKS PETRA!!

That's kinda what I was thinking too but it was hard to tell from the photo & my balloon was being stubborn so I couldn't make the 2 lock twist bubbles look right either.

Hi Ida, here's the frog I learned from Ralph Dewey.
Easy and nice.

Two Ear twists!!

I am making a new type based on this model. Adding one more balloon.

Soft Blow a 260, squeeze air to the ends and soften.
Hold the ends and run your thumb up the middle to find the center.
Twist center then make a bubble on each side of the center, ear twist bubbles together. This is the lips.

Make an off set helmet hat. Add joint bend at the Frog's elbows.

Thread frog body and legs through the front legs. Twist off legs so body is tight enough to hold in place.

Bend knees and ankles, in place.

Add googly eyes ... your favorite method.

Mark, thank you so much.  I pretty much had it right except that mouth.  I tried 2 pinch twists, I tried lock twisting 2 bubbles, I tried several different things but just couldn't seem to get that mouth to look right.  Now I know.
