Rob is a member here so might give you a nod in the right direction, maybe it's not a raisin twist?

In his blog, Rob does refer to a raisin twist. I thought I would give it a go and after searching for the original (quoted by Rob) I could not find a tutorial but had a go anyway.
I used a fairly large raisin and placed it 3 or 4 inches from the nozzle end of the 321. Holding it in place, I twisted my two large blush eyebrows around it to secure it. I then pushed the raisin back between them to hide it.
I don't have the same shape head as Rob but I don't think it is that bad. Perhaps it is more about experience and know how! I will have a go at making the rest at some point.
Hope this helps or indeed confirms what you say about distortion!  ;)
Kindest Regards
Stuart

Hello, sorry to come into this so late,  I have only just seen it, I must have missed the original post. I know you have this mastered now Alex :-)

As for a tutorial there is not one available as far as I know, its based on a design by Jeff Hayes. Its not too difficult to do, the hardest parts are the raisin and getting the end in the beak.

Here is a link to the original picture if you want to see it
