I got a PM from Graham that Patricia has tagged me to make a Ride-Inside Thomas. In fact I've already been tagged before (the horse) and I'm crazy-schedule at the moment. It might be more fair for Patricia to tag someone that hasn't had a go yet.

My pleasure - REALLY - it WAS a pleasure! What fun!
It is a model that you can make during a day out, or a quick present for a birthday child before a party. It took two of us about half an hour (Danny made the hat), so maybe 45 mins - the FIRST time. It's a little bit wobbly because it's not weaved but the kids would love it and it's a feasible option.
I used Sempertex 360s. I find them easier to twist larger sculptures with because of their extra length.

Lifes a bit hectic chez Smiggle at the moment so balloons have had to take a bit of a back seat but hopefully I'll be twisting again soon - well Friday night actually I've got a carnival queen gig to do :D :D
OK a dachshund it is - the first is the mark one dachshund but I didn't like it so the mark two dachshund was made from 2 360s and a 260s
I shall now tag Captain Calamity to make a Rhinocerus :)

Ok. I know it's green but i'm running low on grey 260's for true authenticity and brown looked a little yucky. I guess it would pass as a friendly dinosaur too. :D

I've been rained on more than once this last weekend so here's an umberella - of sorts - its a bit rushed because I'm having a really busy time lately - I've been speaking on a 14 date seminar tour - started in Glasgow and finished in Ipswich via most of UK including Northern Ireland - I have the same again next month only 16 dates

I would be more than happy to make a character from the new Toy Story- However it might be a while before I am able to. I have 8 library shows this week, and it takes me about 4 hours to make the costumes for each show, and I have to travel far for many of them.
Please do go on with the game, and I will post a character when I get time to play- promise. This game is such a great idea. Thanks for the PM.

I'm really sorry guys, I'm struggling for time at the moment, I'm chairman of the Plymouth link of Chernobyl Children's Lifeline and really busy organising a busy schedule for their months visit in three weeks time. Not even getting time for a game of golf :(

okay Jordan...now keep in mind...I have no idea what characters are what...(thank goodness for Google Images...lol) I actually tried 2 of them, but sorry, not iggle piggle. They are not great, but I tried. The 2nd one, I tried with a balloon around it's middle first, and decided it was too thin (I used a 350, but should have maybe used a 646), so I took it off and tried to marker it (but used a brown that was way too dark...darn it.)
Anyways, I hope you like them.

So, I will Tag Mr Graham Lee to make a Bottle of champagne ;)
"Champagne" is it a correct english word ?? :shock:
Sometimes you get too involved, my first thought was to weave the bottle but that has been done before and would have taken a couple of hours. So I start to look at double stuffing and trying to get a bottle shape, three hours later it would have been quicker to weave something but I like the idea of the double stuffing although it still needs splenty of work to get the desired shape.
I started off with the bird body roll thru shape and double stuffed that, the top of the bottle would need to be double stuffed as well as the double layer of latex shrunk the top of the bottle too much and was not very succesful.
The next idea was to have more of a bottle shape to start with.
Then add different layers to shape the bottle more, some places had 3 or 4 layers to heighten the definition of the bottle but the shape is still wrong. I tried to cut out the top green layer to leave a square white label underneath showing to write champagne on but it just split open all the way around.
If the top and bottom of the bottle were in gold it would help, I think I'd like to play around some more with this idea so will see what we can do if we get a few minutes next week at kidology and David's lecture day.
Got up this morning and had another idea but when I started to double stuff..it went pop and this is what was left. Looks more like a bottle than my efforts last night.
Still playing with the bottle idea, it's looking better?
