Hi all Danny and I have been talking about organising a balloon jam in one of the restaurants by my stall at Spitalfields  Market in London E1. I would like to know if anyone would be interested am looking at a Tuesday evening. Just looking for interest before I go and pester the restaurant I have in mind as they are a customer and don't want to mess them about.
They have an upstairs room that dose not get used on a Tuesday very often.

P.S I may be able to help with pumps (save you carrying them) but you would need to bring your own balloons.

Yes, as Roger has said - a central London Balloon Jam. Near Liverpool Street station or Aldgate easy to get to and from!

Ok I have a venue  one of the market managers was kind enough to ask them for me //http://www.marketcoffeehouse.com/, they will let us have the use of an upstairs room.

So now I need a date to make final arrangements am looking at Tuesday 20th March I was thinking a 7pm start how does this sound?

I have no doubt those that have already said yes will think the following are obvious but for anyone who may think of coming a few guide lines.

Bring own balloons,
Bring a pump if you need one,
Don't bring your own drinks with you, (The venue have been kind enough to give the room free of charge the least we can do is buy drinks).
leave venue as it was found.
Have fun.

I have had a chat with the venue owner an absolute gent, he is going to let us use the dining room (unless a booking comes in then he has another one we can use) it is a lovely room and will be perfect.

They have some nice draft beers etc. so do be shy come along and join in.
If you are an absolute beginner don't be worried about coming along I and I know others will welcome and help you.

Being a complete newbie with regards to these events I need a little more information

Could you tell me what it's going to cost.
Alcohol is no problem as I don't drink, but I'll try to make up for it in coffees
Will there be anyone selling balloons if not I'll get another order in from Graham beforehand. I also need to get a pump, although I have no trouble inflating balloons at my own pace, I'd soon be worn out doing them in any quantity.
Is there a dress code?  :lol:
