One of the star lecturers for next year will be Phileas Flash.
They will announce another one sometime soon.
The date of the convention is over the St Patricks day weekend so
I think it's 16/17th March but need to double check.
Yep, is Friday 15th to Sunday 17th March 2019.
I'm booked! Not sorted the hotel yet though...
I have just booked hotel for the event, to stay the Fri/sat night is £94
and I have added the Thursday and Sunday nights as well for an extra £32 each.
This is for B/B and evening meal and the food was OK and the hotel staff nice and friendly.
You might want to walk up to room though................just saying ;)
Registration is £75 and I think over 80% of the tickets have been sold.
To get tickets you have to go via the facebook page,
https://www.facebook.com/groups/BlackpoolBalloonBash/ (https://www.facebook.com/groups/BlackpoolBalloonBash/)
Competition Time
Win a ticket to the Blackpool Balloon Bash 2019.
We have a ticket to give away to this sold out event.
The draw will take place at the Care & Share day on the 27th Nov.
If you would like to take part then you have to post two pictures before the draw.
Picture one,
A design from my YouTube Channel, BalloonTube but NOT a one balloon design,
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCV8BZoHyBE9A19Ua_9KUcAg...
Picture two,
A design that has been made at the Blackpool balloon Bash.
This can be from an instructor or just general jamming and from any year.

Its the balloon bash in less than a month. The event was sold out but I think
there might be the odd return available if you contact the organisers.
Off to the balloon bash today so no posting for me till next week.
If anyone else wanted to post a few designs then please do.
Would be nice to get the forum up and running again xx
Back from the balloon bash, thanks for organising it all.
There is a lot of work that goes into making the event run smoothly.
Pictures from the Thursday evening.
This is the cabaret singer booked to entertain the guests in the hotel.
She came in and made the flower. Danielle made the baby.

Still from the 30 minute competition.
Ooops........................
All of the above pictures are from the Ironman competition and

This one made me smile, Kim holding a baby which I think was made by Sally.
I made the mouse.
Antonio's second workshop was on movement with the car, flower and helicopter.
Danielle had a nice Jessica Rabbit design that I liked.
Picture 99 is Danielle's design that she made and I made a variation
on a theme in picture 97 which is not finished yet.
Antonio's spaceship that was inter active as well.
Sally reluctantly holding my 5 minute entry competition piece :D
These are all from the 5 min competition.
The ballerina was the winner of the 5 min competition.
More of the entries.
Pictures from around the room.
Joanne started to make Freddie.
I think Mark Lavein made the helicopter.
Now during the 30 minute competition some people did not want me next to them.
I'm not saying who but I ended up behind Kerry & Sara all on my own on a chair.
The picture shows you how far away I was :D ;)
Right across the other side of the room, I thought it was funny!
The 30 minute pieces nearing completion.

Still from the 30 minute competition.
The sword made me smile.
The spaceman was the winning entry voted for by the delegates.

I believe Sally came second (Panda) and Louise won (Unicorn) the Iron latex comp.
Alex was second with his hoover in the 30 min comp.
Donnie won the 30 minute competition with his space man.
Tony came second in the 5 minute competition and again
Donnie won the 5 minute competition with his ballet dancer.
My finished Jessica Rabbit that Danielle added the artwork.
This was my 30 minute entry, the good old 646 sausage dog.
Then it was onto Phileas's second workshop on faces.
Phileas's workshop was pretty full, the second design was the witch face.
More from the bash.

They forgot to hand out the trophy's to the winners the night before.

and also funds for the recovery of Ken Stillman in the USA.
Next year was announced with a new venue,
three workshops and an extra 40 tickets being available.
The teachers are, Juan Gonzales, Jackie Ochitwa and Vadim Shushkanov
This is the last picture from the event, well it would have broken up
