The Blackpool Balloon Bash is just a few weeks away now,
there are a few tickets left if you get in touch with the organisers for details.
The event runs from the 4/6th March.
Here are the start of the pictures that we took over the three days.
The entrance way, I always feel this would look nicer inside the room as it's such a narrow hallway
to view the nice design that so many people help to build under the guidance of Fiona.
The main stage area in the jam room.
More from the main stage.
The small side room display.
The goodie bags from the sponsors.
More pictures from the main jam area.
The opening ceremony, speeches etc.

The Gemar balloon room and the dealer stands, Go International with George plus the Premium stand with John Bowler.
Jamie with his stand, he was still setting up. The big bird hands on workshop.
The Distorted Elephant workshop.
Balloons around the venue.
Next to the Gemar Stand.
I was having a play with a weave idea.
Balloons I think from Cody's workshop.
This is the view from Amanda's room when she invited me up for a coffee ;D
More balloons from around the jam room, the Dino is from Darren.

And more.
Last of the 5 minute competitions, then it was onto the 30 minute competition designs.
Sorry I do not know who made all the designs, perhaps I can get a list of those attending as the numbers were next to their names.
That might work.
Russell ran out of time making his working duck shoot.
One foot in the grave made me smile, this is a UK TV programme.
More from the 30 minute competition, there were a few entries.
It was good to see quite a few doing the 30 minute competition.
Still the 30 minute competition.
It's amazing what some people can make in 30 minutes.
It was then onto the Ironman competition which possibly needs to be re-named?
You have 30 minutes to make a design and everyone gets the same balloons in an envelope.
There were quite a few entries for the Ironman competition.
Ironman Competition.

The last pictures from the Ironman competition.
This was my 30 minute design and I ran out of time so built the rest of the wall after.
I think I would have built a balloon floor as well to go with it possibly?
Roger with the start of his balloon jacket that he made.
More from the jam room and balloon workshops.
I usually just wander around the jam room and workshops,
just sitting in a class for a few minutes at a time to get the flavour for the workshop and the way
the designs are being taught. It's interesting to see the various ways people all interact.
Glen's workshop.
More from around the event.
Darren's car class.
Becky with her accordion.
The fun of the jam room.
Walking around the jam room.
Making the big bird in Glen's workshop.

Claire made the dress.
Jamie trying to master the lights and sound ;D ;D
It was then onto the talent show.
There was a good selection from Magic, Juggling, singing and some musical acts
and then Becky at the end with her Burlesque act.
Plus some mass dancers coming onto the stage.
Amanda and Russell wearing matching outfits xx
Still on the talent show and the second half.
Becky was the last act, finishing the show with her Burlesque act.
Then it was onto the prize giving of the awards.
I did not get to many pictures of the winners as there was a lot of distraction at the back of the room.
I will post the winning designs at the end of the thread once we have posted all the pictures.

Making the double wheat weave.
Simon's finished tank.
Glen also made the banjo from his workshop.
I think this was the prize Amanda won for the Ironman competition.
A few more pictures from around the jam room on the Sunday morning.
It was then onto the closing details and thanking the instructors.
This is Fiona picking up her Burns/Ashworth Shield for all her hard work creating the decor around the venue.

to come over this year due to the conflict and troubles in the world.
