The next care & share day will be on Wed 21st May at Ashford in Kent.
With a mystery instructor, hopefully ;)
More details & dates are on the website at;

Please spread the word & dont forget to bring the cream cakes. Thanks.

I hope to be at this one, but cannot commit as yet.
My balloon 'work' is totally basic, but am looking to improve it with a view to doing walkaround and line work in the future. Actually, at my age, sitting in a chair (albeit a tall one) working a line with balloons sounds really appealing!!
The stuff I do is really no different to anyone else, on the lower scale of things, that is, and I am not at all inventive - unfortunately. I am not that bad, however, as a children's entertainer :)
Dave
Dave,
It will be nice to meet up & have a chat about life, latex & entertaining in general.

Looking to have 3 lecture/hands on workshops;
Basic plus, cartoon characters & weaving. But we are very flexible on this so if there is something else,
balloon wise you would also like to learn on the day please get in touch & let me know.
Graham Lee
I'm defiantly coming.
See you all there!

The checkout isn't working, it just refreshes my cart?
Can I just pay on the day - I also need a good pump and a full box of ballons from you, can you split a box and do 25 160s and 25 260s?
You need to register on the site before going to the checkout.
Yes we can split, were very flexible :)

And stretchy and bendy and sometimes go pop! :lol:
All paid! Is there a confirmed location yet? I know it's in Ashford, but I couldn't see any directions (and you know I need directions).
Do we know how many are coming?
Well, all is well, I have booked my place and will be there.
be seeing you.
Dave
Milo,
The address for the day is;
St Simon Church Hall
Brookfield Road
Ashford
Kent
TN23 4EU
At a guess it will be a small crowd for the day, about 15 which will be the smallest day that we've done.
Then again I can spare more with everyone, so perhaps that's a good thing.
Mind you there may be a late serge in bookings :D

Hello Graham, do you mind it being such a small attendance, or do you 'prefer' it from a teaching point of view?

Well I can see the advantages from both sides. With a smaller crowd you each get more of my time but lose out from gaining & picking up from others that attend, the fewer that attend means that their are fewer to share. Which means I have to work harder :)

Just back from the day in time to watch the football.
Thanks to everyone who came along especially those that helped with carrying the stock in & out plus keeping the hall tidy.
It was the smallest day that we've done so far but have to say I got a few things from it myself & hopefully those that came had fun while extending their balloon knowledge.
Oh and thanks to those that brought along some cakes, very nice.
Hopefully others have some pictures?
I only took a few pictures of others work so will try & make my versions & post soon.

Lord Geoffery made a lovely usable one balloon rabbit and I was showing what I think is a nice variation for a dog;
We got chatting about how we all thought the dog's face looked a bit rabbity, so today I've been having a fiddle with the latex & have these;
Shorten the ears on the third one, make him Orange and we have tiger from Winnie the Pooh!
I didn't actually get that many pictures on the day, so I don't have a great deal to post. It was lovely to meet the others though (all very nice people) and I will defiantly be coming to future events. I might try to visit family in Richmond in July, then I can come along to the Darlington meet.
Not sure how mine ended up so different to Grahams?
It looks like it came from a scary horror movie :D :lol:
I have to say I do like the effect.
Graham Lee
He looks like the disco uncle from hell that you usualy find at a wedding! :lol:
Ok - So I made my own balloon man with lots of joints!
