Well I'm 30 mins away and we have snow but not huge amounts of it.  Pioneer is in an industrial estate just off a main road through Bishop's Stortford so I don't think anyone will have a problem getting there.  I too will be heading over as soon as the school run is over so will see you in the morning.

I have just received a call from Graham & Lyn they have only driven 4 miles in 2 hours. They have decided that they will not be able to get to and run the day tomorrow. I know they are trying to ring everyone personally to say it is not going to happen but thought it would be an idea to put it on the here.

I just hope they make it back home OK

Argh - that really is such a shame.  The day was as good as fully booked too.  :x

I know I've bleated on about it elsewhere and I don't know about you guys but I've never seen snow like this in Edinburgh, or Scotland for that matter this early on - and we're pretty used to snow!  I dearly hope it doesn't hit you as badly as it hit up here.

Hopefully the day can be rearranged (and hopefully I might be able to take one of the few spaces left!!)

Yes, apologies to everyone. Lyn and I are trying to contact someone from Eire that is flying in but we are struggling to find the international code. If anyone does know please let us know as this lady is booked onto a 6am flight. We have two numbers for her and both do not connect.

We set off at 7.30 and did 4 miles and arrived back home at 10.15. As you can see from the pictures we have had a lot of snow all day and it's still falling. Sutton has been gridlocked all day and there are 3 hour delays on the M25 over the bridge and then from there to the M11.
Lyn and I are very sorry that the day is not going ahead but we had people travelling from all over the UK to attend and I appreciate from phone calls etc that there is not a lot of snow around Bishops Stortford and the surrounding areas.

Thanks Neil, it worked and Sandra has just text us back. There are 5 people we do not have numbers for only emails, what a worry this is  

Just glad you have got home safe. If you could let us have the names perhaps someone on hear may know them.

Stuart only lives about 2 miles from me but I dont remember where or have his number met him at a care share day ages ago. O well guess I better put the lap top down and go to sleep the boss has stayed at her mums and dads as it took her 2 1/2 hours to get there this morning it normal takes 20mins (she works just around the corner form them).

I'm gutted (although do understand) but I probably won't be able to make a re-arranged day as my hubby took the day off work so I could go today and he doesn't have any more holiday left spare now  :cry:

Just listened to the news and it seems people were stranded on the M25 overnight and the police are saying no matter what do not go onto the M25 in the Surrey area. So although we are very dis-appointed to have to postpone the day I think it was the right thing to do although in hindsight we should have made that decision yesterday morning. Looking to see if we can perhaps have a day next week, will be in touch.

Glad I decided not to attempt it this morning as only just found out it was cancelled anyway!
