Post by: Danny the Idiot on September 18, 2016, 07:07:19 PM
The next Jam is on Tuesday 20th September, THE VENUE HAS CHANGED!

Please see here //https://www.facebook.com/events/124689841320270/

The City of London Balloon Jam - Tuesday September 20th 2016, 4pm - 10pm.

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF VENUE!!!!!

The September Jam will take place at Pizza Express Bishopsgate (Just around the corner from the old venue and a short walk from Liverpool street station.)

As Management informed me they will be unable to host us every month, this is a temporary change whilst options for a new(?) permanent venue are being reviewed.

We have the UPSTAIRS ROOM reserved for the afternoon. (Stairs are in the back, on the left.)

The room is reserved from 2pm, for those who want to meet early and have a pre-jam lunch.

I started to have a play with another dog face idea, I think we can safely say this one did not work out.

It was a very enjoyable afternoon/evening.

I made the parrot for Steve from all the scraps left on my table.
Steve makes a lot of parrot's/birds at the balloon days.

I had a fun time travelling home, there was a group of people who were coming home form a funeral
and who had celebrated someone's life with a few beers, they were in jovial spirits chatting away a little
louder than normal so everyone could here. Then two girls got on who were travelling back from a wedding
in Ireland who also had been celebrating with a little alcohol and they all got chatting. I was sitting next to them
with the balloons I was taking home in the black bin liner, you could just see a part open top section and one
of the girls who was sitting next to me asked what it was. We got chatting and one thing lead to another and
there I was making some teddies on the tube with the whole carriage watching. It was quite funny as many
were going past there stops so they could get a balloon. I was asked to post pictures on facebook with
#girlsonthetube
I think I did that right but no one has been in touch, the picture did get a lot of likes though
and it made for a fond memory travelling home from a city of London jam.

I was even given a few pennies for the models so a bonus there as well.
