Lyn and I are looking to do the Darlington day on the 28th April and the day will be sponsored by Balloon Art Wholesale which is the name of our balloon company although we trade under Sempertex Balloons.
If those that will be attending could spread the word about the day to clubs/friends etc it would be appreciated :D
:D :D :D :D :D :D
Yey! That's north enough for me!!! See you there. :D
(Nothing against the south, you understand - just the south is a long way away, for me anyway)

The cars all loaded up and we're ready to hit the road late morning on our little journey up to Darlington.

Sitting in our luxurious hotel ;) after a very stress free drive up north, took just over six hours with a couple of comfort breaks along the way. Had a walk into Sedgefield tonight for a meal, it looked like a very picturesque village with green and chuch.
sounds good c u 2morrow
My sat-nav says 136 miles - 4 hours 02 mins!!!! I'm not that good at maths, but I make that to be about 30 mph average. Gulp. Think I should set off now...? :D

Neil if you kick or drop your sat nav it might help :D At a guess two hours.
just back from Darlington another brill day id like to know were Graham gets the energy from lol great day good to catch up as well :D
Just sitting on Thelma's couch after a 3 hour drive down from Darlington, not many may have booked but Lyn and I thoroughly enjoyed the day.
We had time to chat with everyone and I think we showed more sculptures than ever.
two frogs, cat, full size bike, giraffe hat, weaved heart. A nice relaxed day with lovely company and a good laugh all round.
So thanks to those that attended and we hope you got something from the day. Will post the pictures from the day tomorrow when we get home.
It was a fantastic day, Graham! It was great to meet you, and the others I've only chatted to via this forum.
Many thanks for all the effort you and Lynn put in, and for the kindness and friendliness of every one there.
Just a brilliant day - hope there's many more to come! :D
--Neil
Glad you enjoyed it Neil, just remembered we also made a machine gun, pistol and the start of a princess.
A few pictures from the day, I like the first one which is Meg twisting while keeping hold of her handbag, you gotta laugh :)
Some more;
The dino turns into a dragon on the next set of pictures, Lyn and I take a good selection of supplies to all the days and the last picture was fun due to the size of someones pump, it was fun and you had to be there!
After the weaving class, instructions for this heart are on DVD three, "A Romantic Twist"
And the dragon. I forgot to get a picture of Tony and the bike he made and also the one I made at the day, oops.
If anyone did take some and could post a few more it would be appreciated by all.
Despite some derogatory comments regarding the size of my pump (!), I really enjoyed the day; it was great to meet some professionals and learn some more twists.
Many thanks to you all for making me feel welcome.
Andy
Andy it was all said and meant in fun :D You were most welcome, glad you enjoyed the day and have also joined the forum. Hope to see you again at another day.

It's in the picture above d9 with the yellow pump, having said that it did the job and blew the balloons up.
