I'm looking to come up to Darlington and Edinburgh this year for a couple of care & share balloon days. Possible dates are Oct 5/9th or Nov 23rd/27th I think that avoids half term?
The plan would be to drive up to Darlington on Monday, have the day Tuesday, drive to Edinburgh Wed and have the day Thursday and drive home Friday.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Still looking into these dates, we might be able to use a rugby club as a venue.

There are a couple of facebook pages for these events, if anyone could share about that would be very nice. Both days are free to attend but please bring along your own balloons, pump, camera, cup for refreshments, bin bag to take models home and possibly some nibbles or a cream cake or two

Just setting off to Darlington, hoping to make the models for tomorrow tonight in my luxury Travelodge when I arrive,
I expect it will be nothing like my penthouse room at the millennium jam.

Arrived OK in Darlington, the hotel does have three postcodes and none actually get you here. It was not too bad though.
Had a detour on the A1M as junction 50 was closed so was taken the scenic route at junction 49, trouble was it was dark and raining so did not see too much of the country side. I also saw an adult shop on the A1M at a service station, I think that is a first, seemed odd to me as well but assuming they must do OK there or they would be closed down.

Just going to make the models for tomorrow so I can get a little ahead of myself.

Thanks to all who attended the Darlington day, although it was pointed out the day was not in Darlington but Newton Aycliffe, I thought it was close enough

Another odd thing from my trip, the hotel has parking spaces close by for people with 2+ passengers, I wonder how this is policed?
