Some of the delegates who came to the basic balloon workshops had never played with latex before, and were struggling to tie knots at the beginning of day one, by the end of the second day however they had really caught the balloon bug and they now know there is no cure  

One of the great things about FAB was that there were people from many different fields mixing together trying out new things and learning from some of the best the UK has to offer. There were hands on demonstrations with painting, even some of the hotel staff wanted to be done too, and some great SFX work carried out over the two days.

Luckily we had a photographer come and cover the events held on the second day, he has manged to sort me out with a few of his shots. The basic class was a complete hit with some struggling with with knots...still struggling...and then finally success  

The classes gave those who had never tried it before a chance to experiment over the time there and models were appearing all over the place before long.

I didn't manage to sit in on any of the balloon classes unfortunately, but Dan's room was packed all the time and he had them eating out of his hand. KJ is one very lucky lady.
