Evolution

There was a caption competition recently where Graham posted a picture of me being rather silly with a couple of balloons.   One of the captions posted was by Danny who wrote ("for some reason Thelma and I seem to bounce off each other" says Graham) Well how right he is.  Grahan and I have been bouncing off each other a lot recenly.  We have onferred a great deal ove the Levett and Lee Roadshow and I have to say we are both lvery much looking forward to the day. 22nd July in Birmingham.

If ithe day has to be given a Sub-title it has to be Evolution  There will be something to learn for anyone who attends whether you are a beginner or a more experienced twister.  we are pleased to say we have an interesting and very full day in store for you.

We ain to help you to become not only a more proficient teister but to help you to take the first steps to making your own designs.  Showing you how to adapt designs and give them your own personal style and even to take the first steps to designing your own creations from scratch.  This is something that anyone can do, whether you are a beginner or an advanced twister. Some of you may need a kick start and I am perfectly happy to start kicking. (Just joking!)

Graham will be showing his new "One Balloon Wonders" so you will be getting a look at material he has not yet brought out.  Even I have not been privvy to these yet so I am looking forward to seeing these myself.

Now for the explanation about the title of the workshop.

We will be showing some great new models.  We will also be showing how they can evolve and how much fun it is to develope them.  We have a brand new bird design which is very fast and easy to make, cute and adaptable, great fun.  Fantastic for line work and those pressure parties but the kids will adore them.  This design can be used to make a fantastic flamingo and a really nice kingfisher as well as many other exotic creations and all in a two or three minutes.  The basic bird taking less than two minutes.  We will also be showing you how to make the models more than they are.  Giving them that extra visual impact when you hand them over and making sure they dont become invisible once the recipient takes it away.

Amongst the other new models being taught will be a two balloon tank, and a helicopter which we are going to have some real fun with.  This too wiill be an evolving creation starting from a super fast model and ending ....... well you will have to wait and see.

Prepare to be challenged - Yes we will set you some challenges and there will be some prizes in the form of a couple of my CDs.  This will ba a hands on day and by the end of it we expect you to be leaving with an array of new ideas, a heap of inspiration and the confidence to find your own individual style.  Oh and a couple of my CDs too.      The day is going to be a full one and the only problem will be fitting everything in.  So make sure to arrive on time and be ready for a fun day.

It's nice that Thelma offered some CD's as prizes on the day but I need to decline this very nice offer as I know how much I'm paying here to do the day and to give away her CD's I think is unfair and the day is a total bargain at £10.
So I'll hand out some balloons as prizes instead.

Hmmm  We'll see about that.

This is something else I would like to show if we get time.  I have erased one of the flowers because it is not mine to show.  I have the dvd called Flower Power by Ed Chee.  It is worth the cost of the dvd just for that one model.  But as I said - not mine to show.  The others however are and if we get time I will show how to make the whole arrangement.  

Graham's going to be soooo mad.  "How much time do you thing he have""  nag nag nag.....

It has been suggested that it would be ok to show ther rose by Ed Chee.  I didn't want to put it on the photo above because I did  not want people to think it was mine.  But if you are curious to see what this flower is like, Here are three pictures.  The above one without the rose blanked off and a closer view.  Also I did this black bersion for a friend who has a daughter who likes black.

Note:  I have just started making this rose so it is a poor example of Ed's lovely rendition.  But it is getting better.   Also I added leaves to it.

Anyone heading up from London that could give me a lift?

I would like to go .... but can't afford a train/taxi expense.

Thelma drove down today and my front room won't look the same again  
We are just sitting here drinking some wine after playing with balloons for the last 7 hours and have just done the promt plan and organising the days plan of action.

We've had another fun day and have come up with a few extra idea's for next week so if you can get to the day we are both pretty sure it will be an interesting and exciting day with Thelma and I passing on our years of experience with you, so see you there.

I'm getting a bit worried that I may never see my carpet again    :lol:
Thelma is pretty sure she will have worked out the three twist dog to show you next week.
