We have Daniel McCullough who is a member on balloon chat as the mystery instructor for this day & Daniel is a very creative twister and I'm looking forward to his hands on lecture/workshop. We do have a few booked but again if you can plug & promote the day at magic clubs & other forums that you belong to, all is appreciated :D
The day is on Thursday 17th July.
Graham Lee
is it at manchester or is it 40 miles away from it lol I would need to know where it was before i book to see how far it is or is it the same place as the leeds day :D
Worsley Brow is where the day is which I believe amazingly for me is actually in Manchester,
the Darlington day is in Newton Aycliffe about 5 miles from Darlington but near enough

I just booked for Manchester... I'll try to remember some cakes!
Looking forward to meeting you all,
Martin.

Greetings, Twiddlers!
It's with considerable regret that I have to inform you that I will not be putting my head round the door, for the Manchester C&S Day tomorrow, after all.
I'm afraid the Mad Hatters Tea Party at the Botanical gardens, Birmingham, simply wiped me out!!! It was a FANTASTIC occasion and I am really glad that I volunteered to support the day-out for over 1000 disabled and underprivileged children who turned up on Monday.
I have a few bookings to look forward to this weekend so I MUST try and rest up for them, in order to be able to bring home the bacon....
Have a GREAT day in Worsley .. and be sure to post some snaps soon!!
On the way back home from Manchester where we had I believe 20 people attend. A nice day hopefully had by all.
Thanks to Daniel for doing his lecture on hats & numbers while also showing his great killer whale hat, lovely flowers in a vase & his amazing armchair that I think everyone sat in & had their picture taken.
Will post some pictures tomorrow with luck.
Lyn & I appreciate all the help from everyone to keep the room tidy, special thanks to Carol & Jane who went beyond the call of duty with all their help.
And so many cream cakes etc, I may need to go on a diet
We're staying ata quality inn hotel in Walsall overnight on a freebie, they've put us in a posh room with bedroom, lounge, kitchenette & bathroom. This is how sad I am, I've taken some photo's of the room to share with you all.
The life of luxury that we lead.
Thanks for the day today Graham, I and everyone I spoke to had a great time... I was just disappointed that I had to leave early to go visit the missus in hospital :(
I especially enjoyed Daniel's workshop and what I saw of your afternoon slot... also great to meet Neil (Fairby)from this forum 8-); but the day was well worth it if only for the adhoc tips I picked up from Daniel and yourself (Not to mention the sackload of Sempertex I came away with ;) )
For me one of the eye opening things from the day is what a broad spectrum of people are into the world of balloon twisting... and for quite a myriad of different reasons.
Hope to see you in the NW again soon.
Thanks!
Martin.
Thanks Graham and also to everyone else.
I could not have enjoyed it more.
Totally fab. Great to get more ideas and to meet new people. It was all I hoped it would be.
Thanks Graham.
Alison.
A very enjoyable day !!! Learnt alot such as Graham likes Cakes and so does my wife !!!!! Seriously I learnt alot in those few hours so its well worth attending no matter what level you are at. (If I work hard and practise I might become a novice one day)
Daniels Chair was amazing although being on the pleasantly plump side I wouldnt dare sit on it although everyone else did. It was a brilliant piece of work. Hope no-one minds me putting a few photos up to share.
Good day, nice people !!!
Me with the first head Ive ever done as shown to me by Martin (3 months twisting, yeah right)

Some of the people that came along to the Manchester day;
Some pictures of Daniel who was the mystery lecturer;
1, That amazing chair.
2, Daniels whale hat, I think instructions are on balloon hq
3, Daniel during his lecture
Last couple of pictures that I have, does anyone have any more?
1, My attempt at the hat & numbers that Daniel showed during his lecture
2, A variation on the motorbike
What a fun event :D
Thanks Graham for organising it & thanks to all the people who attended.
Ralph Dewey made a Balloon HQ Column of my Killer Whale Hat & I was really wanting to show people my new & quicker way of making the base.
I inflate the balloon leaving 2 inch uninflated & then pinch twist a 1 inch bubble,
then I make a bubble just slightly wider than the persons head, then the following two bubbles are slightly smaller & so on.
