Last night i went out to see Penn and Teller at the Apollo, London. For those that don't know, they are two american magicians who have a show in Las Vegas.

It was great!

I loved it, their presentation skills were superb, one talks and the other doesn't. Simple staging, camera's for the close up stuff and lots of volunteers used form the audience.

They did a whole host of tricks, some i liked, some I knew, some I'd seen before and some that didn't work for me.

All in all well worth going for me and a lot cheaper that going to Las Vegas
 

I used to love Penn and Teller when they did their TV shows in the 90's(?).  Even though they used to explain a trick or 2 each show I still find good magicians fascinating.

I did have a look for tickets for Hammersmith but caught the show in Vegas which was good but I was sitting in the back row so would have liked a better view.

Glad you enjoyed the show. I did not even know they were in England, That's how out of touch we cider drinkers are in the West Country    

I've seen their show twice in Vegas and thought it amazing. I also met them briefly afterwards and found them really down to earth good guys. Teller does speak, and Penn is a giant of a man

Did Teller do his shadow routine with the rose ? What a wonderfull piece of theatre that is.

Yes Teller did the rose routine which was great. They had to leave the bullet catch out because of UK fire arms laws. And probably another couple of routines too judging by the programme.

But it was well worth it.

 I'm not a great fan of bullet catching, but I love their emotional stuff, like the rose shadow stuff, Penn's fire routine, and the floating tissue while playing the saxophone.

Still envious of you, but so glad you saw a great show
