Roger Daws Workshop, from "Ordinary to Extraordinary" Roger will be running you
through some simple line work designs to up-scaling the same design for that more
impressive look and then taking that same design again and turning it into a table centre piece.

Now home from another great day. Not only picking up little things throughout the lecture but also meeting new faces as well. Thanks Graham for organising another success. And also to my second favourite woman for my golden bunny :-)

You got a bunny too???? I thought It was just me????
Apparently I could only have one after you Rob. Lynn said that you are much more important ;-)
Just got home from the day. We have never known so many motorways closed in one night.
The M1, M6 in tow places, the M5, the M3 in two places and the M25.
I think we ended up with a 30 minute extension to the journey but all safe.
Thanks to all who attended, I had a fab time with plenty of fun banter throughout the day.
Will start posting pictures tomorrow.
Had a fantastic day yesterday! Thank you everyone for making me so welcome and for all the help. :)
Here we go then, some pictures form the day.
I thought it was a very informative day with Roger going through why he does things in etc in a very detailed way.
From how he arrived and set up.
The picturesque garden outside the hall. Later there was hail stones and snow,
on the drive home we had the most forceful downpour of rain that we have seen in ages.
It was a funny moment with Leonie and Roger, made everyone laugh.
Roger went into great detail about his set up etc which was very interesting,
it was then onto candy cup designs and how if you did not want to
make them up yourself how you could buy the ready sealed.
Rogers line work Spiderman with the printed head.
I think Ine made the Spiderman with the rolled 260 or the head.
The last picture, it looks like it's out of focus/moving but it's the way the light is catching the black balloon.
Vicki had the cutter, it's a crafting design made for stressing the edges of paper.
Dave made Ironman.
Roger then went large, my attempt at Roger's minnie mouse design.
My go at Roger's Spiderman design,
I must make this for the real world as I do not make Spiderman at the moment.
Dave went vintage on minnie with the old classic black and white design
before colour was invented.
A few of Roger's superhero's.
Roger then moved away from twisting.
Then it was tips on decorating.
It was a very interesting workshop run by Roger.
And a random monkey picture.
Then it was the start of the competition.
Dan was back with his stick design.
More from the competition, there were some great prizes to win this time.
So many, including.............surprisingly a good bag of balloons,
un-opened and in an up to date Qualatex bag. Plus a selection of other prizes :)
It was then onto the last session of the day with Roger.
The caretaker then turned up to put the tables out for us :) ;)
A few pictures taken at the photo studio,
OK it was a black cloth over a chair but does make a lot of difference.
Some of the artwork from the day.
Then it was onto the last session which was getting into groups to make a table design.
The decorating designs coming together.
We split into three groups.
And some were not happy to be making the frozen design.
Dan was out voted by the ladies, picture to follow.
The finished designs.
Paul getting the reverse picture.
Dan looking so happy, he he.
Abi won the competition, you had to use a minimum of two pearl azure in the design.
It was a fantastic prize with two broken pumps, some quick links and two half bags of metallic balloons.
I think that was the prize, it was a couple of weeks back now.
