Hope everyone had a nice time at the two day convention in Birmingham this week.
From the feedback it seemed to go over very well.
A few of the pictures from the event, it will take me a while to post
everything though so please keep popping back.
Tobi landed Sat morning so we went off to the Black Country Museum for the afternoon.
It was a very pleasant afternoon.
I had to explain the four candles sketch to Tobi.
The chain making demonstration.
The old fun fair, they even had some very early steam cars.
The coin, that has a story. We had a really lovely few hours at the museum.
Could have spent a little longer to be honest but it closed at 4pm which did seem a little early.
So going to leave and we get told we have to purchase a parking coin to exit.
A hidden charge of an extra £3.50, I was a little miffed at we have paid £17.50 each to get in.
Why do they not just add a £1 to every ticket. And yes I will go on the website to complain.
I just thought it was wrong, but Tobi and I did have a good old laugh over it.
It was then onto Cadbury world on the Sunday, Olivia joined us.
Can you tell Olivia was very excited about the tour.
We then had a go at chocolate writing.
They scrapped up Tobi's design so we could not get a picture of all three.
Olivia and I thought it was well funny ;D
Tobi was sad, he he
The proof, he he.
It was fun and Tobi and Olivia were enjoying the game.
Olivia spotted the mug for me.
The start of the master class............................
Thanks to Olivia for bringing the screen and projector for Tobi to use.
There are always a few variations on a theme at the days.
I decided to put mine on a carrot.
There were a nice few variations on a theme.
I believe these are all the models Tobi made.
And these but not the last one.
Tobi Twist originals I believe.
I like the second picture because of the way Tobi's head
is sitting within the picture on the screen.
Group photo.
Tobi Twist originals.
Competition time, the theme was numbers.
The one time, he he pun there. the one time the competition would have been
great for Dan and he was hot here. Ine made his entry though :D
Then Amanda came up with her one ;)
Plus Paul is wearing the sign I came back with from Florida.
We had quite a few entries, was not sure of the total numbers though.
He eh, another pun ;)
More numbers.
And the winners were Donnie and..........
Roger the birthday boy.
Steve with his variation on the flamingo.
More of Tobi's designs.
Rob was making Freddie during the day.
Tobi originals.
Tobi explaining the cockroach.
More from the days.
Dave made the bee, a variation from Tobi's Ant and Cockroach.
Ine made a variation as well.
Rob made Freddie for a shop launch I believe.
Bride and Groom.
Rob posing with Freddie.
Robs finished Freddie.
More from Tobi, the middle picture the llama is made from 350's and up scaled.
More from Tobi, I think Ine made the wolf.
Then it was competition time on day two.
We think the competition was themed around pancakes and cooking.
More from the competition.
Last few from day two competition.
And the winners were Kathryn and Roger, Roger got the star prize donated by Olivia.
Thanks to all who took part. Always appreciated.
That is all the pictures from the latest star lecture.
Thanks to Tobi for coming over and everyone attending the days.
Bringing nibbles along and helping keep the venue tidy and helping
me to carry the shop in and out. Thank you all......very much.
Wow, looks like I did miss a great couple of days that you all spent with Tobi. Some very interesting concepts and some great photo's. Thanks as well to Ine for having a go a making a stick too ;) ;)
