A new Childrens Convention taking place next year, Jeremy gave me permission to take the details from an email he sent out to everyone.

First of all, you'll want to know where and when it's all happening. Well, as you can see from the above picture,
the convention is being held at the 4 star Lion Quays, Moreton, near Oswestry, Shropshire.
This is a specialist convention centre, with everything under one roof.
Evening of Monday, 20th May
and all day Tuesday, 21st May 2013

Convention Details
The convention kicks off on the Monday evening with an All Star Cabaret - nothing to do with children's entertaining:
just a lot of fun to start the convention in the right spirit! We're not revealing all the details at this stage,
but we will reveal that Terry Herbert will be performing a spot - and if you've never seen Terry's cabaret act,
you're in for a treat!

Dealers' Hall
If you're staying at the convention hotel, then grab yourself a breakfast on Tuesday morning and toddle 5 yards to the Convention Suite,
which will be open at 9am. In here, you'll find a range of Dealers  - including Practical Magic - open all day long,
serving up their brightest and best.
 
Off the Dealers' Hall is the main Convention Room with its own bar.

Convention Room

This is where the lectures and other events will be taking place. In addition to the two Star Lectures (see left),
there will be a number of Power Presentations: short, detailed bursts of information on topics important to children's entertainers.
 
We also have a number of surprises, details of which we'll be revealing as we get closer to the event.
We want this to be a really FUN event!

By now, you're resigned to re-mortgaging your house to afford this extravaganza. So here's the best news of the lot.

Just loaded the car ready for the journey north, hoping to leave in about an hour to arrive around 5pm with the first event taking place at 7.3o.

Arrived at the hotel, its a bit port out starboard home as they call it a resort. A bit different from the travelodge's we normally stay in.

A few pictures from an excellent event, the shows on Monday night were great and this was before the official opening.
There were 4 mini lecturettes, I think called power presentations, all were interesting by Tamar, Quention, Mark and Jeremy and John.

I did not take my camera in on Monday night so only have pictures from Tuesday. John and Terry with their full one hour lectures.

A few pictures from the balloon jam on Tuesday night, thanks to Nick, Jimmy and Ozzy for getting up to share a few things.
Nick shared a Snake and his back to front Elephant, Ozzy his now famous Balloonmerang and Jimmy with his Bike and Monkey.

A few Sponge Bob's were made at the end of the night as well.

I forget who it was but this was lectured on at tricks in the stixs and I thought it was a fun item at the time and still do. May be of use to someone?
