12 minute competition pieces.  Gotta be honest, the crab scared me just a bit.   :D   Though the Hello Kitty and dog were adorable.

Quote from: "Graham Lee"Who is that funny man next to you? Hope he was not trying to put you off?  :)  ;)

Nah,  he was no match for my greatness!   :D   Okay, in all honesty, when I realized I was going to end up standing next to David for the competition, my nerves almost got the better of me.  I very nearly ran away, but then I figured I had nothing to lose.  It was quite a crazy, fun, and fast competition.

I've throughly enjoyed meeting people in person who I've only seen and "met" online before.  It's been great!

I went to the Pajama Jam last night, but apparently my brain was getting fuzzy before it started as I didn't take any pictures.  I'll see if I can get some from a few people.  Betalatex/ Sempertex was the sponsor.  It was grand getting to play with some of their funky shapes.

Things I learned from sitting on the front row of the fashion show last night:  1) you will get hit in the head by large balloon dresses, and costumes,  2) you will worry about whether or not someone is going to fall off the stage due to being unable to see in said costume, and 3) you will have a grand time.

One more thanks to Balloonchat for my registration and class payments!  I learned so many things and have been constantly putting ideas to use!  It was so good to meet real people in real life who do this too.  If you can ever go, I would strongly recommend it.

One fun story, if I may...I wore a balloon headband on the plane up to Rochester as my "secret handshake".  I figured it wasn't obnoxious enough to attract too much attention, but distinctive enough that if someone else was heading up to TnS from Atlanta with me they would be able to know I was one of them.  It worked!  I met a lovely lady named Helen.  We ended up being buddies throughout the conference.  She was with me when Graham surprised me with paying for my classes and she got to hear about how I got one of Robbie Furman's DVDs because I was one of the first 6 to finish an angel design he taught us.  She commented on the fact that I was having a lucky weekend.  Then, I went to the closing banquet.  They were giving out 20 tickets to a raffle for $5.  With Helen telling me that I was having a lucky weekend floating through my head, I figured it couldn't hurt to grab some raffle tickets.  They started the raffle.  The first number they drew was mine!  I went up to the stage to claim my prize.  Jay had me draw the next number.  I looked the other way, and grabbed a ticket.  He told me to take another prize because I drew my own number!  Yahoo!  Anyway, I got a Filbert Pump for $5!  Well worth it.
