Hi to all,

Have been reading and doing as much as I can,  would I be right in thinking :-

1. A soft loop etc is where you squeeze some of the air out of the balloon as opposed to just twisting a bubble ?

2. Even if I follow instrutions to the letter or inch the particular model may well end up short of balloon as I have not pushed the air out of the balloon enought or the " small twist "  may well not be a small enough "small twist"    when you read a small twist  what exactly is a small twist -  how big ?

3. When you measure a 10"  loop,  is this from the end of the balloon to the twist, I know this sounds weird but if you think of a sausage ,  the lenght may be 10"  BUT the actual lenght along the straight edge may only be 8"  as the other 1"  is the rounded end.

4. When you "burp" the ballloon,  this is all you are doing as I have found that the models I have been making twist a lot better when the balloons are near to full,  I was letting more air out on my first trys as I thought this would be better -  I now think that this is wrong and all I should do is just "burp" the balloon.

5.when you twist a small bubble towards the end of the balloon why does it sometimes just go,  you then have to push the air back up the balloon and try again -  wonder what I am doing wrong here,  does not happen all the time.

I have made a few different models,  more are ok ish but need more wore as the cat I made looked more like the Kyodie Wolf off Road runner,  still looked to me but need to practise more.

Have to entre another thread as this one seems to have run out,   Kind regards,

Hi Debbie
Yes a soft loop is made by squeezing it before you make the loop. If I am making a bubble smaller than a 1" I sometimes say "make a small bubble" for a half inch one.  I can't speak for other designers though.

A 10" loop is the length of the bubble from one end to the other before it is twisted into a loop.

It's a good point, I take sizes as a guide line, once I have made the model I look at it and make it again.

Thank you,  this morning I discovered that with the pinch twists you twist the balloon one way and then you twist the the pinch the other way -  practise, practise and more practise -  think this is the way I will learn.
