Abit like Grahams story, it was my daughters 5th birthday party,however, I was already doing magic,so a Magic show was already on the cards,and we had not long come back from a holiday in Minehead, where I had booked a 3 day course with "Snazaroo" learning the basics of face painting.
During the summer at my local shopping mall ( Lewisham) there was always a guy twisting balloons, and he always had a massive crowd around him, but having watched him a couple of times, my mind started thinking "I can do that", and so it was that I ended up getting in touch with Mel Moore at "Playtime balloons" and armed with some 260's and a couple of books by Michael Decker, I did the whole Shebang for my daughters 5th Birthday, Magic,face painting, and balloon Modelling....Oh, My (Now) ex wife took care of the disco (Mine) and organised the games.
